Not bad for a first review, although it has the classic track by track problem (specifically that it's not really all that detailed and doesn't flow that well). It's probably my favourite Cream album, although it does have the weakness of a lot of their stuff, in that the instrumental skill is great, but the songwriting frankly isn't.

This is the only Cream album that I own, and it's decent. The albums opener is amazing, and if it wasn't for that track than I would have no inspiration to listen to this at all.
Average review. More info about the instruments, vocals, and melodies would be helpful for a t-b-t review.

Thanks For the advice on a second review Med 57,Zebra and strangelybrewed, I'm not that used to the site yet but I can tell it is great. By the way Doesn't track six Tales of brave Ulysses sound like white room? I think so. To answer Zebra's question I'm not really an expert on cream. I am just an averege listener who put down what he thought about the album. I'm not saying that reviews with info aren't necessary it is just I don't know that much about the album. If you know anything just put it down on the fourums so people will be informed.

would it be to cliche to comment that clapton is god?

Seizure-inducing cover art, fairly boring album.

I love this album, easily Cream's best studio effort. My favorite track is Dance the Night Away.

FYI
-Strange Brew was not actually the original song. Cream first did a blues number called "Lawdy Mama". A guy in the studio at the time - Felix Pappalardi, who went on to produce the rest of Cream's albums - heard the song and played some guitar over the track and wrote lyrics for it, resulting in "Strange Brew".
-There's other versions of many of these songs on Cream's BBC Session. I think the BBC version of "SWLABR" is much better.
-"SWLABR" stands for She Walks Like A Bearded Rainbow. In case you couldn't deduce from the title, the song's about an acid trip.
-Clapton's solo in "Sunshine of Your Love" is based on the song "Blue Moon". The artist who performed this escapes me at the moment, but if you sing "Bluuue mooon," in the same melody as the first two notes of the solo, you'll probably know what song I'm talking about - and sound like an idiot in the process.
-Tales of Brave Ulysses is a reference to the Roman epic; however, the song mentions the love goddess Aphrodite, who is actually part of Greek mythology. The Roman's version of Aphrodite was Venus.
-Mother's Lament is a song that Eric and Ginger used to sing when they would play blues and jazz clubs in between concerts.

Well, I've got the Beatles Sgt. Pepper's, and Pink Floyd's Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Should I go for the psychedelic trifecta? I've always heard good things from this album. I think I'll bump it up on my "to buy" list.
