Review Summary: hawks metal that really packs a punch
Being elite ***in rules. Being aware of your superiority is a great feeling, as is being respected by fellow warriors. Sadly i only know this through what Fade has told me. Contrary to what some people may believe, i am not elite. I have a ride the lightning poster on my wall and i like children of bodom, wintersun and many other bands Justice would beat my ass for listening to. Although being non-elite sucks for the most part, one of the perks is you can listen to what the *** you want without being in fear of being seen listening to Aneka. So here we are, reviewing an album that Wilton would shove up his dick, The Cainian Chronicles. The album starts with a typical faux eerie intro and then proceeds onto the the trilogy of songs, the cainian chronicle. While each part is pretty sweet, the most memorable is easily Liliths embrace and for good reason, it has the greatest god damn music vid ever made. The video features a shirtless hippy guy, a vampire, a green lizard dude, buckethead, a cat lady and god himself! Tis quite an awesome mix and it tells the true story of the lyrix well. The production is ***in great, the guitars have a chode like thickness to them which adds to the albums majestic atmosphere, gay word but thats how i would describe it. Lord Kaiaphas (lol) vocals fit the album just fine, they arent partially good but they are better than dani filflth so that will do. Half way through the album starts to get stale, the lack of variation and good riffs makes me pissed. It seems that a lot of bm albums slow the *** down at the end and while that may seem progressive to some, to me its they couldnt keep up the bpms so they got lazy and made some enya esque riffs.
Overall the album is a p good listen, sure the female vocals are kinda lame but she is asian so its cool. This is a good atmospheric bm album that is accessible and yet retains the feel of the north winds. Of course if you are used to listening to BURZUM and BEHERIT this *** seems weak ass but give it a chance and you may find yourself dancing to these untrue wintery jams.
