Review Summary: Japanes Black Metal from a band currently residing in Hades

Japanese Black Metal band formed in an unknown year release their only piece of work in 1992; being their demo entitled The Incarnation of Sathanas. With similar production to Summoning’s first demo Upon the Viking Stallion, this album favors the low end spectrum; meaning, a sound that is comparable to the use of almost no treble. This allows for the more “bassier” elements to shine through, but unfortunately this is also the downside to the album as you cannot really hear what’s going on all times. During the higher tempo sections almost all comprehension is lost; this is counteracted, however, by the slower sections and clean synth into’s and outro’s.

In the beginning of track 2, Grief of Caco Daemon, the above mentioned production style fits the opening wall of riffs ever so nicely as you're hit with a gentle introduction of slow paced melodic single picked riffs. The track progresses from an easier listen to a more evil sound with dissonant vocals placed far in the background that can barely be heard such as the ones found of the first EP from the one man band Nameless Coyote.

Track 3, Into the Black Hallucination, is more relevant to the blackened doom genre but still hold fair to the traditional faster black metal tempos.

The blend of the above mentioned aspect makes this demo out to be an enjoyable listen but leaves the listener craving more. A logical step for these musicians would have been to create an LP using the same elements and allowing for more treble to come through without completely diminishing their signature sounds. Unfortunately that will never happen as this band is no longer together but they left some interesting formulas for up and coming artist to feed from, adding to the elusive tendencies found only in the likings. For a worthwhile listen to those searching for older undergrounds bands that were and are still here with us in memory, captured by the gifts of recording technology.

I'm assuming your reference to Hades was because this band is no longer action. Haven't heard of these guys but it's good to see some lesser know bm acts get some attention on this site. Good job.

Yeah, sounds like something I'd enjoy, just wish I could find a working download link.
