Review Summary: Glad I'm skeptical of reviews.......but yet we are all entitled to our own opinions.
For those of you who reviewed this album back in August and talked ***, I'd like to see updates now that (if) you've had time to actually listen to not only the music but also the lyrics and the story behind it. I have to admit, when I FIRST heard it, I skimmed over just to hear what the "newest" attempt by BO sounded like and I wasn't immediately impressed. For me, (and my girlfriend hates this) I have to listen to a new CD over and over and over...to get an actual honest opinion of it. As I listened and began to hear the STORY behind the album, it reminded me of my own brother and his fight to his rights as a parent not to be shunned from his own daughters life. The lyrics became more clear, the music more crisp and at times blended so perfectly together that I couldn't help hiding just to listen so I wouldn't be seen crying like a little bitch.
As a man who has gone through a nasty divorce myself, thankfully without children, I can relate to how men are treated in the court systems and how in many cases all it takes is a good sob story from a woman to tug at the robe of the judge. I do understand that Justin has a somewhat skiddish history mentally and emotionally but none of us are perfect. From the wife who comes home from work and throws back a few drinks every night without her co workers knowing to the husband who sneaks out of the house for late night blow jobs from the local slut, we should not be judged by our faults but more on how we could and would fix them.
Anyhow, this CD will likely be the most underrated CD of the year for the simple fact that it just sounds like a man whining about how he was unfairly treated by the courts but in all accounts it's a story of a man's life and how he has struggled to fight for the most important thing in his life and how he will never give up trying.
Thanks.......
