Release Date: 1973 | Tracklist

Masters of music, the Mahavishnu Orchestra were a powerful force in the 1970's; a band who fused powerful rock jams with the jazz of yesteryears and borrowing the spirit of the indians and the chinese warlocks and warlords who rode horses in the days of old.

Many people like show-off music like Between The Buried And Me and The Faceless and other bad music...those people haven't heard soulful jamming like this. Soul is the key word - guys like Cobham and McLaughlin are descendants of Miles Davis and students of the shamans. Soul and spirit make up each note.

Each track serves as a tribute to the shamans and gods of the ages of old. The samurai lurks in each song. Electric violins...everywhere. Who knew music like this existed? It did.

Next time you see some tech death band thinking they are cool because they sweep up and down, show them this album.
