Review Summary: A very strong album. That will leave the timid mind blown away into another dimension.

This world nowadays is full of new music. Most of it... well lets just say it isn't very good. The resurgence of the new Thrash metal scene. Is very well a breath of fresh air for whoever misses 80's thrash. Warbringer comes to the table with very technical riffage. Yes, riffage I say this because the riffs are very recognizable and very difficult. The band is very tight and they all seem to be able to play some amazing part on their instrument that fits perfectly with everyone else's. Warbringer definitely came out with their third release with brute force. They did decide to change their sound a little bit on this album but they did not drift to far off from their past albums. They took a more slowish approach on this album. It was not all about smashing your skull in with pure ***in' mayhem and speed. Yes, they did have their fast songs but not the whole album. It was a good change in pace. It made it more enjoyable to listen to the whole album. For you wouldn't get bored.

The album is not perfect though. Unfortunately there are some pretty boring-ass songs on this release. Such as songs like Treacherous Tongue. That song to me is very boring. Every time they say Treacherous Tongue is just breaks off a piece of my soul. For the instruments in the song are pretty decent but they ruined it with the chanting of Treacherous Tongue. Enough of my unfathomable blabbering on a song. Let's move on to more of the good *** on this album.

Starting off with the very first track on the album "Living Weapon". As soon as this song was released as a single, the metal community knew that a masterpiece was going to be put upon this Earth soon enough. Living Weapon is a perfect thrash song. Fast, off-beat, change in tempos and of course a blistering vocal approach that will leave you dumbfounded. The lyrics on this song are catchy and brutal, just what anyone wants on a metal release.

Then comes the self-proclaimed masterpiece Shattered like Glass. This song is the best on the album. It features a heavy and catchy into that flys right into the first words that are spoken. The lyrics on this affair are so easy to remember and are insanely enjoyable to scream along with. Throughout the song they hit you with a breakdown that will make you crap your kakis. Very heavy and you will be unable to not head-bang. A ***in' masterpiece.

After listening to a track of total dankness. Comes a song of less power but is still a song that is an enjoyable listen. A decent riff that keeps you intrigued. The vocals are a little disappointing, good still but it was put on the album in a bad spot. Making the song seem a little less powerful then it should be. So, there really isn't much to say about this song.

Then, Future Ages Gone. A song that made up for the last song. Putting you right back into the desire for more. The riff is absolutely genius. Every time you hear that riff you think to yourself. "***! I wish i could play that ***!" so pick a guitar dumb-ass. The solo is not amazingly rememberable but it still is a good ender to this very amazing song.

To keep the mind juices flowing and the penis tingling with aspiration. Comes a very heavy track that is the second best on the album. It is very fast and sexy in the beginning that just makes you want to mosh your face off and kill innocent babies. Then around the half-wy point. They come in with lyrics that stick and are followed along side by side with well written instrumentals. The whole song is a masterpiece and is a song to remember.

Then here we go with Treacherous Tongue. With the stupid ass chanting that completely turns off my musical boner. It is still a listenable song because they really saved the song with the instruments. They are very good and the solo always makes you come back to the song just to hear that sexy ass solo. If it wasn't for the solo the song would be a waste of time.

Echoes From the Void was the first glimpse of acoustic from the band and it was a decent outage. The acoustics are not to easy to remember but they change the pace on the album enough to make it something worth your while. They come into the song kind of hard but not hard enough. This song is not a masterpiece in anyway shape or form but it's not terrible. Johns vocals at the 2 minute mark give me goosebumps for how powerful they are. Then they come back with a different sound solo that is a good listen. The song is one of the main factors in why the album wasn't rated higher.

Enemies of The State is a decent song probably the second worse on the album. The song just doesn't go anywhere for me. Its dull and non-creative. It Stays pretty much the same throughout the entire song. Thats not something i really care for. Again the solo saves a song from total disaster. I would rate this song the worst if it wasn't for the solo.

Behind The Veils of Night is another different approach for the band. Not because it is an instrumental because we've already seen that with the genius instrumental by the name of Nightmare Anatomy off their senior album Walking Into Nightmares. This song is no where near as good as Nightmare Anatomy, mainly for the lack of drums and that the guitars, which is the only thing in the song, get really repetitive and boring throughout this three minute affair. For that there is nothing else to say but they failed hard on this instrumental.

and finally we reach the end of this roller-coaster ride with Demonic Ecstasy. One of the best songs on the album. The beginning just pumps you up for whats about to be forced into your earholes. They begin to set you up. Then " MY SOUL IS NOT MY OWN!" those lyrics make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. The perfect transition into a heavy second half of the song. Then they slow you down to end the song and the album. Demonic ecstasy was a great choice for the final song and makes you beg for more.

Overall Warbringer came out with a strong and solid approach from their previous records and it is definitely at the peak of their creative stage in their careers.

Alright but its initial impact is misleading and covers up an above average but ultimately unremarkable thrash album. New Evile is much better
