Review Summary: Classic Rave Well, what can I say. The Prodigy are by far and away my favourite band, hell, my favourite artists of all time. None of their albums disappoint, not even the often dismissed Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned, but for me, this, alongside Invaders Must Die, is their finest piece of work. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Liam Howlett was off his f***ing head when he was making this, but that's partly what makes the music so damn exciting to listen to. Forget the simpering, ballady R&B/pop drivel that clogs the airwaves nowadays on both sides of the pond, this album proves what music should be like: fun, carefree, original. People involved in the late 80s/ early 90s rave scene had it right in my opinion - they were there to have a great time and enjoy the music, nothing more, nothing less!
If you've just got into The Prodigy and you're buying this album expecting The Fat Of The Land Part One, forget it. There's no cockney growling from Keith, and not a lot from Maxim except on Death Of The Prodigy Dancers - in fact, this album is more like a solo project by the genius that is Liam Howlett.
Anyway, what are you waiting for? Get this album now! It really is first class.

It's always such a pleasure to read such a non-biased, comprehensive review such as this one. Really a fantastic job.

| | | With all due respect, but this isn't a review at all. If you want to go fanboyish on an album or artist, that's fine - I do it as well - but use the Soundoff option instead of actually publishing a review.
If you're reviewing an album, try to be as objective as possible. It's fine to say you immensely like an album, but tell us why. Provide arguments and back them up with proper examples. Also, just telling objectively what's going on without forming an opinion helps as well to describe the sound of a release.
Try reading some 5-star reviews of Staff and Contributors and see how they praise an album without sounding (too) fanboyish.
(btw, I wrote all this because I believe you genuinely want to review stuff, and are not just a stupid troll...)

| | | I'd like to see how he does after criticisms come. To me the reviewer too much assumes previous knowledge of the band and their work ("There's no cockney growling from Keith, and not a lot from Maxim") and comments on the context (nowadays music and the olden days stuff), rather than the album itself. It'd be okay, I guess, if there were a description pertaining to what is supposed to be revied.
I hope this helps. Good luck.
P.S.
"Always ... " is my favourite The Prodigy album ...
Also, I wouldn't call troll on this. Seems like a person, who just geniunely adores the artist. I sense good intentions.

What pond ?
He could be from the U.K. I presume, he's referring to the music that comes there from rest of Europe and the U.S.
I guess Irving is right. If one were to use phraseologisms they should be better contextualized as well.
Another on point criticism.
