Review Summary: Excellent and heavy album? Check!

Limp Bizkit is a very influential nu-metal band from Jacksonville, Florida. Upon realizing that the roadie that they were working with was less than intelligent, the founder of Limp Bizkit, Fred Durst, commented that "his brain is like a limp biscuit". The other members liked it, and thus, a talented band was born that got shot down by the horrendous music industry too quickly. Songs such as "Counterfeit" and "Stuck" prove this, especially the direct sample collage at the end of "Stuck" that samples Fat Boys, Funk Inc, Public Enemy, the classic funk song "Impeach The President", and Suicidal Tendencies. Fred Durst has quite the range too, as he death growls, yells in a zany tone, and raps. DJ Lethal is also a fundamental element to Limp Bizkit for his sound development, and you can thank Wes Borland for coming up with very heavy riffs. Overall, this a very underrated album that should be easy to find in used CD stores, and you should definitely get it for nostalgia, or just great music. Ross Robinson did an excellent job producing this album.

A raw, energetic performance by Limp Bizkit at their best. May not have the commercial appeal of SO ...

Unitcircle (4)
An unpolished, edgy look of one of the late 90s most polarizing bands....

Nytro (3.5)
It's.....actually.....not....bad!...

DirEnRefused (2.5)
An overly revisionised album which isn't horrible, it's just mediocre....

I mean good, as in I enjoy more than a few songs on it, and not just to be ironic.
