Review Summary: Perfect for babysitters or young mothers!!
This CD is great!! It's really relaxing and playful (like a baby!) and the lyrics are really imaginative! I'm sure it would put a baby right to sleep, it's such a great bunch of lullabies!
The singer has a great voice. He sounds kind of like a computer, but I'm sure that's just his style! Actually, the whole thing kind of sounds like a Zelda game or something (I love those games!!), so I'm sure it's his style. And it's so imaginative! It really stimulates a toddler's imagination, I'll bet, hearing songs like 'Alligator Sky'. (Soooo random! :3) I mean, it's just so unusual! It's great. I love it. I really do.
And this CD makes a great gift, too! I bought three copies (one for myself, duh!) and gave two away to my niece and nephew. They said thanks, they looooooooved it! They kind of were sneering, but that's just because they're teenagers, I think (you know how teenagers are!). I suggested they listen to 'Dreams Don't Turn to Dust', which should inspire them to become doctors or something! The song also mentions a picnic, which is pretty quaint. I should have a picnic with them sometime.
It's not perfect, though. I mean, it kind of sounds TOO MUCH like it was made on a computer, you know? Kind of like it was actually a sort of cash-grab made by a barely cogniscient boy chasing fame after a brief bout of popularity, thrown together with little actual thought and even less effort, with most of the work put into coming up with some seriously weird lyrics. But that's not very likely!!
So in closing, I guess I can really recommend this CD! It's great for putting kids to sleep, or doing crafts with the little booklet that comes with it! Although I guess it is, in a way, kind of less than perfect. Some of the songs are kind of silly, or just downright weird! So I guess it's a good lullaby CD. A good CD for babies and children!
