Review Summary: This...right here....is pure ....CRAP
When listening to Soulja Boy one starts to question "Why am I listening to this? Why am i wasting such precious time?". Its nearly impossible to pay full attention to this album without drifting off into your own thoughts and questions. I found myself rewinding nearly every track for the simple fact that I just couldnt pay attention long enough. I have to give Soulja credit though, nothing about this album even gives you a glimpse of it being good, its bad, he knows its bad, and thats what makes Soulja Boy......well Soulja Boy.
Right from the start this album is all about him and how much money and clothes he has. I mean its to be expected but do we really need to hear this on almost every song? This is literally all Soulja Boy talks about. His songs all consist of metaphors that dont make sense, simple nursery rhymes, random swearing, and the word "swag". The album just goes on and on about absolutely nothing at times and its mind boggling how he even believes that hes making real music here. Just from the final track titled "Grammy", where he complains about why he doesnt have a Grammy, asking the world why they havent given him the proper respect that he deserves, its the only song that has any true direction. The rest is just random stupidity piled up into a bunch of Stripper beats.
This is BAD. This is just a Bad album top to bottom. Lyrically its nearly non-existent, other then one 50 cent track where even 50 cent himself doesnt sound all that good (he hasnt since 2003 actually). If you value your ears then dont buy this. But if you somehow like bad lyrical content being Happy Meal rapped over some pregnant stripper beats then by all means, give this a listen. This...right here....is pure ....CRAP
