Review Summary: Literally, Black Milk sounds disgusting. However, this isn't.
The Detroit hip-hop scene has mostly been frowned upon over the years, where hip-hop collectives like Insane Clown Posse, Twiztid, and Dark Lotus formed. Luckily however, a producer named J Dilla changed that. J Dilla produced beats for some of hip-hop's well-known stars, such as Ghostface Killah, Busta Rhymes, and The Roots until he died in 2006. One such friend of his, Curtis Cross (Black Milk) made an album that is funky like In-N-Out Burger's special sauce. "Album Of The Year", possibly named that in tribute to Faith No More's 1997 album of the same name, is a tight album packed with wordplay that is awesome like Pocari Sweat or Calpis, and his beats are like sour cream on a taco. Lines and insults such as "You're uglier than Lady Gaga's wardrobe" prove this. Round Of Applause is my favorite track simply because it gets you pumped and adrenaline starts rushing through your brain all the way to your cerebral cortex. Overall, pick up this album and you will see how great this album is.
