Review Summary: Many people may be shocked at the new direction sound that Innerpartysystem has, but they are bringing something really exciting to the table.

Many people may be shocked at the new direction sound that Innerpartysystem has, but they are bringing something really exciting to the table. This EP is more dance-influenced, and has more of an industrial like feel to it. The vocals take a step back as there are more instrumental sections within each song. Nissley's vocal performance this time around is quite unique. Although his vocals are filtered with heavy amounts of effects in some songs, he can still pull it all off quite well.

"And Together" opens this EP with a pounding techno beat and robotic accented vocals. There are group chants counting down along with the beat here and there. The synth breakdown in the bridge is very reminiscent of a NES game. "Money" is a suprising song, different from anything you've ever heard from these guys. There is a glitch/industrial beat and numerous vocal effects, that change almost every few bars. "Out Of Touch" brings you back to classic Innerpartysystem. Beautiful synths, club-likes beats, and a dominant performance by Patrick Nissley. "Squid" closes the EP with haunting vocals and lyrics about dreaming of the so-called perfect life.

Never Be Content is of everything you loved from the last album, fused with more dance sections, filtered vocals, and even robotic vocals that sound like they came from Microsoft Sam. The band did a great job with this, and I wouldn't have any doubts about their full-length album which will be released by the end of the summer.

"Money"
"Out Of Touch"

Electronic whiz-kids move even deeper into their banks of synthesizers, and create another masterpie...

Self titled was very enjoyable, I love this type of music but I'm picky as hell about it.

I loved the self titled but American Trash was so bad. I'll give this a go anyway...I thought they were meant to be doing an album though. It's taken a long time for them to release a 6 song EP.

Review is alright for a first. I tried writing one for this but i've been too lazy.

Album rules, i think their releasing another EP this summer. Note that the EP is pretty hefty at its 36 minute length.

Not too shabby for a first, but there is some room for improvement that I'm sure you'll improve on if you keep on writing (mostly just phrasing and things of that sort). Have never heard of this band, though

This band is awesome. I loved what I heard before from them, and they were fun to see at Warped Tour.

haven't found a download, but a stream

I really dig American Trash now, it has grown on me so much. This EP is kind of amazing; "And Together" is decent at best, but it only gets better from that on. Now they need to stop being friends with 3OH3.
