Review Summary: The band morph's their sound from a Dillinger Escape Plan copycat into a sound only definable as The End.

The End are a mathcore/metalcore band hailing from Mississauga, Ontario Canada. Within Dividia is the bands first full length release and the follow up to their EP entitled, "Transfer Trachea Reverberations from Point: False Omniscient."

Within Dividia shows a more mature version of the band, but more importantly, it shows us that band are no longer struggling to obtain their own separate identity. Their previous work made the band sound more like a Dillinger Escape Plan rip-off than a competent band with their own identity and their own unique sound. The sound turned out to be a much heavier, low end sound as opposed to the sharp, Dillinger-esque guitar tone. The chaotic sections have been toned down (though still do exist) and have been replaced with an attempt at achieving a darker and more atmospheric sound. "The Sense of Reverence" is a good example of this as it showcases a dark, moody sound but more importantly, remains focused throughout. The albums darkness begins to sound reminiscent of Tool's Ænima release.

The aforementioned “The Sense of Reverence” combined with “The Scent of Elegance” are the definite highlights of the album, as it’s the perfect blend of everything The Band tries to accomplish (and succeeds in doing it) with this album. Starting out as a slow ominous track, it slowly builds moment, recedes and goes through a number of different motions before finally morphing into a raging, furious track.

After starting themselves off in the mathcore music scene, The End have solidified themselves in the scene and also as their own band.
