Review Summary: A Day To Remember bring you Homesick An Album To Remember

A Day To Remember Have always been quite an interesting band to listen to but I think that this album takes the cake

This album seems to take the genres of punkrock and slightly hardcore all mixed into one pot to genarate this unique sound

The Downfall Of Us All: This is the albums starting track and one of the best songs on the album. It starts with a chant along vocals before the beatdown of drums and guitars come in to blow your mind as Jeremy McKinnon enters with his unique voice. Personaly i would rate this song a 9/10

My Life for Hire: A rather slow beated start to the song as Jeremy uses soft vocals. The drumming on this song is very well played and makes a significant beat while the guitar chugging is very similer to The Downfall Of Us All. Once agian chant alongs are very popular in this song. 8/10

I'm Made of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of?: A....rather interesting song name it starts with a simple drum beat with a guitar in the background with ''Don't blink they wont even miss you at all'' before going into a heavy verse. A strong use of Jeremy's calm vocals aswell as his trademark growling vocals. This song is a very fun song to listen to 9/10

NJ Legion Iced Tea: Once agian a very interesting song name it starts with a kinda guitar solo before going into a heavy riff with drum beatdowns. the verses themselfs a very Pop feel to them kinda like you could dance along to them. Once agian a mix of soft vocals and growls with pop guitars and drum beats but with heavyness mixed into the batter 8/10

Mr. Highway's Thinking About the End: These names just get...better. A soft opening leads way for A Day To Remembers most heavy and brutal song by far nothing here but heavy guitars and drum...well smackdowns pretty much as Jeremy shows the fall blast of his growling vocals. the chorus on the other hand uses soft vocals while the guitars and drums still pound away at a heavy tone and then back into the heavy as 10 tons of rock verses. One of the best songs on the album if you ask me 9.5/10

Have Faith in Me: A rolling drum...roll starts this song with a very calm guitar and even more calm vocals before going into a very pop-rock style of music as is the rest of this song a very popish feel to it but dont let that keep you safe as there are slight peeks of growled vocals hidden in there. 7/10

Welcome to the Family: A very heavy opening (kinda feels like parkway drive) with heavy guitars drum beatdowns and growl vocals before changing in the chorus to more soft vocals as the drums and guitars continue thier onslaught. no matter what style of music you like this song has something for everyone. 8.5/10

Homesick: The albums title song and oh what a song it is fast drum beats guitars a'blazing with fast vocals a perfect song to jump to if anything. more chant's to be....well chanted here. A Day To Remember continue to surprise us with a slowed down chorus but maybe this seems to be getting petty...sameish....fast verses with slow chorus hmmmm nonetheless it seems to work. 9/10

Holdin' It Down for the Underground: Guitar opening and nothing else but then income the drums not as heavy as other songs but nonetheless a nice beat. OHHHH growled vocals lovely everyone loves Jeremys growled vocals. For some reason the chrous gives me the chill of an....Atreyu style of corse this is all my own opinion you may think completely differently. 8.5/10

You Already Know What You Are: An opening as heavy as having a cow sit on your windpipe with a very catchy tune thrown in there. lyrics themself are quite interesting ''you can't trust everyone you meet''. Major downfall to this song is that its only just more then a minute long. 5/10 its more of an interlude then an actual song

Another Song About the Weekend: Guitars once agian open this and the song seems like another heavy song intill the verse comes in to show fast drumbeats chants and once agian a very pop like feel to the song. the chrous is quite a catchy song once agian almost like you could dance to it if you saw them live. The Bridge of this song is pretty heavy full of chant alongs and calm vocals. 8.5/10

If It Means a Lot to You: Another song with is heav.....WAIT WHAT??
This song is completely different to anyother song on the album 2 guitars and vocals from Jeremy and Sierra Kusterbeck from Versa Emerge. This song is calm simple as and by far the best song on the album this song is also quite easy for people to relate to as its about loving someone they love you but they move on leaving you to die inside as you still love them *cry*......anywho. By far A Day To Remembers best song maybe for all time but thats for you to decide. 10/10

If it wasn't the track by track that makes this review subpar, it's the lack of punctuation, clear ignorance of the genre, and the overall casualness of your writing.

Spelling mistakes, random uses of ellipsis, beyond basic paragraph structure... It fully justifies why you've rated the album so highly, really.

All taste in music aside.....

You should proofread. Or maybe just write better. Track by track is a pretty terrible way to review unless you're a great writer to begin with.

Meehhhhh rankings are silly. If you really want to get upset, look up the Billboard top 100 for '09.

Why does everyone always assume that a person who genuinely likes a band such as ADTR is a troll

They're really not THAT bad. Definitely not in the same league as some of the great sputnik bands, but there are much bigger evils in the mainstream(or semi-mainstream) world.

Yeah these guys definitely aren't on an Attack-Attack level or anything, but this is still a bad album with like one and a half great songs and then just pure filler. This is either a bad troll or a bad review.
