This four piece hardcore group is originally from Madison, Alabama. “Lost Boy” is the bands second album release, following the greatly received “Unbreakable” in 2008. The album eases you in, setting the scene for the rest of the album, and before you know it, you’re neck deep in a breakdown!
The feel of the album feels very “Tough Guy” metal… and this is what I mean. Most metal you come across will have certain gimmicks about the band. Some might have guitar sweeps every 5 seconds, other bands have a death metal vocalist gurgling to make the songs sound heavier. What Mychildren Mybride does, is take their music and throws every bit of a song, the vocals, the guitars, the drums, and throws it into your face… In a nut shell… this is tough guy metal.
And don’t worry metal fans, they have plenty of gang vocals on the album! So, the next time you go see these guys at a show you can crowd the mic and scream the songs with the band!
The lyrical content is something that the fans can really get into. They abstractly cover their messages through poetry. That’s right! Even though the music is really hard to understand, they are really saying words! It really makes the music even more intense when you are able to comprehend it.
P.S. there is a HIDDEN TRACK at the end of the album that is worth checking out!
The album was a tremendous success/growing point in Mychildren Mybride’s musical career. Metal Fans everywhere should check this album out, you won’t be disappointed!
