Review Summary: HIM changing the life's of millions of people with their love metal style of poetic metal that you can relate to, but hey I'm just a 12 year old girl (who will never ever become emo or goth) who grew up with this album.

Well "Dark Light" is its own rhythm as well as its own tune the mellow darkness that can rise with the sadness or mellow out as the light dies.

A vampire song representing the irony when he sings "love me like you love the sun scorching the blood in my vampire heart" in the song "Vampire Heart". I like how the ending drums beat like the heart beating the blood through your veins.

A Finnish ritual of "Rip Out The Wings Of A Butterfly" but sings it as a love ritual of crying out "for your soul" in vain. Starting out with a guitar screeching grabbing your attention- and in this case your soul.

Or the feeling u feel when love is gone and you feel like its just best to leave it and walk back home feeling humiliation "Under The Rose". I Like the ending how suspenseful tune at the ending 50 seconds i think.

Its the heartbroken influence of needing someone but it was not meant to be she left him in pieces like in "Killing Loneliness" the song starting with the deep piano playing as the guitars came in. This song helped me recently when i felt alone that he betrayed me after all this time.

A song that has the sweet tune and Valo's deep voice is "Dark Light" that he is singing the best luck for her is the gentlest touch describing every movement that brings the song to life. The piano mixes with the soft guitars as his voice gently sings in a deep silky note.

Behind every door intoxicated angels carry sorrow the "winter" chanting the words "you're love will be the death of me" in the song "Behind The Crimson Door". Then in the musical chorus a Finnish poem is recited by Timo K. It's called "Kadotettu".

Or under the watching eyes engraving the pain in the saddest poem "The Face Of God". Where religion and where Valo wants to feel the pain and suffering. I like in the beginning where the mood sounds like a person an unknown face creeping behind the shadows. In the chorus he screams in high pitch singing the title.

Drunk on the lies of love while the girl suffers in "drunk on shadows". Where in Valo's point of view he describes the girl's pain and agony looking up at the shadow of heaven. The drums in the begining wake you up.

Also the song wit the bestest similes and metaphors along with the love metal taste "Play Dead". Too hide until the hurt is gone or you fall in love with someone new. A catchy tune when he sings the chorus.

For the death metal people "In The Nightside of Edan" has its unholy love born again forever. Another song where the religion is a part the song when the beauty of the holy garden turns dark the opposite of happiness. Where in the end he sings it in a morbid tone that sticks to you.

Also on bonus cd's carry a song "The Cage" that one you can listen to over and over and still find it inter-sting and each time you listen to it you feel why they call it "The Cage" and see how its another love metal type song that uses alot and i mean alot of pictures in the lyrics.

You'll be negged for that summary alone. You should combine some of your paragraphs, it makes the whole review flow better

And we should date

I really like Love Metal (that was actually one of my favorite albums at one time) and Venus Doom, but I was never really keen on this album. I have yet to hear their newest although I do like "Heartkiller"

Yeah, you spend far too much time analyzing the lyrics, or forming your own metaphors for them (which is cool and all, but....)

Also, don't sub you for u, urgh

'Buried Alive By Love' is the only thing this band's done to tickle my fancy.

This is nowhere near as awesome as Heartagram's review.

I also like how you referred to the last song as 'Death Metal'

This is a decent album, despite what many say. I got big into HIM, and then after awhile sort of lost interest - they're not too arresting after one album. But I still like this, and a few singles now and then go down nicely. If you're serious about this review though, you need to do some major work
