When hearing the first track and single "Remember" off of Burden of A Day's latest release to date, One One Thousand most people tend to think that the vocals on this album are going to blow your mind. That is an exact truth. Newly recruited vocalist Kyle Tamosaitis delivers a high range and emotional voice that takes the band to super sonic heights. From hearing the first clean vocals on this album my thought was "damn this guy can belt it." As many people know there are many bands out there with incredible singers but Kyle's really stood out to me, it was a different sounding voice then most singers these days who revolve their singing around the highest note they can hit without sounding like a 12 year adolescent. It's both crisp and catchy. I will say this album does dry out a bit by the end but I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it, it has the best of every world. Its heavy yet very melodic with a hint of post-hardcore. The melodies will stick in you head for days on end and the guitar will leave feeling like you just clocked in the jaw. Much to the thanks of profound music producer Andrew Wade who was recorded artists such as A Day To Remember and Our Last Night the album has such a huge feel to it, it almost feels as though the band is playing on top of a mountain and you can make out every note and tone they have to offer.

Is this album a must buy? In my opinion, yes. While most people will say, "They're just another band with trendy breakdowns and a high pitched singer", the album has so much more to offer. Guitarists and brothers Mike and Josh Summers reveal their true talent and creativity in songs such as The Shame In Shedding Wool and Isadora Duncan. There's an underlying power and drive that most listeners tend to write off. For me personally this album from front to back a non stop catchy heavy and melodic album. Sure its trendy but hey whats wrong with that? Trends originally start cause whatever the trend is happens to sound good at its point of origin. Most people tend to not listen to certain music due to the fact that it is indeed "trendy" or "generic." In my opinion if you don't give this album a chance you're missing out on a hell of a listen, it will eat you up spit you and keep you coming back for more. Give it a listen and wait for their next release, its sure to be a good one.

Review is too short and doesn't say barely anything about the music or the genre.

Sly Foxes is a great song and there are a couple of others that are besides that.

I dunno, this album bores me. But it is one of the less generic bands on Rise, which doesn't say a shitload, but yeah.

Rise confuses me. They sign bands like Abandon All Ships, Attack Attack!, and The Devil Wears Prada then surprise people by signing great bands like Dance Gavin Dance, The Bled, Oceana, and Tides of Man.

What a fucking confusing label. They're almost as confusing as AP. (Giving Scrambles a 5, covers over bands like La Dispute and even screamo bands like Comadre and then gives stuff like In the Unlikely Event a 4 and looks over the crappiest scenefest bands)

agree with you PirateSquid, they somehow have the knack of finding diamonds in the rough but for every Of Machines there is five Attack Attack!s
