Review Summary: Billions of years ago, the land was barren, then, nature took it's course in the form of "Scale The Summit's Carving Desert Canyons."
As the optimistic layered sound of "Bloom" begins, you look out over the horizon. The day is sunny and bright, ready for your work to begin. All that lays in front of you is a flat expanse of desert, as far as the eye can see. As the seconds creep by, your optimism builds and you prepare to do what it is you are here for. You are mother nature, and this is
Carving Desert Canyons
A brief survey of the land tells you this job will take millennia. What stretches before you is a dry sea littered with cacti and deathly heat waves. This is the "Sargasso Sea." Your initial optimism grows into adrenaline and yearning. You let the wind pick the surface clean, floating on the lofty riffs and waves created by the Sea. An opening forms in the center of the Sea. It is a blank space, waiting to be formed into a marvelous canyon by your power.
What remains is an open area for you to work with. The rain begins to pour over "The Great Plains" in torrents, hardening and compacting the sandy soil that will soon be carved out and affected by your ages of work. As the flooding comes to a close, the rain continues falling in a rhythmic fashion of constant tapping upon the ground, creating a metronome for the land to hear, and all is calm for now.
The great flood is over, and the sand is covered. The crater is now a vast sea, and the sand at the very bottom is compacting and compressing every second. After so many years the sand has formed into sandstone, leaving a large ocean where the empty crater formerly sat. Surrounding the ocean are multitudes of "Dunes." They form walls of acoustic and electric sound, and engulf the landscape, lifting the winds to new heights in the atmosphere. It is getting cold.
The dunes all around collapse, the ocean floods the land. Water pours out and covers the surrounding area. We have reached "The Age of the Tide." Everything is being consumed, and dense flooding makes the environment barren but for hard sand and an ocean at the center. The temperature is still dropping.
Everything is frozen. The land has entered an ice age. The desert is now a "Glacial Planet." As everything froze, the water in the ocean expanded, ripping apart the land around it. Ice constantly shatters inside of the ocean walls, creating fantastic new formations that are as of yet hidden by the layer of ice. The changes are drastic and fast, and the chugging pace with which the canyon is being formed is reflective of this. Finally, the sun reaches the highest point in the sky for centuries, and the ice melts. The water evaporates.
What is left is a marvelous canyon. Surveying your handiwork from the bottom of the formation, the rocks and formations above you resemble a "City In The Sky." There are so many wonderful and intricate rock formations, it is almost unfathomable how nature crafted this. This canyon dwarfs all that would come after it. It is the first of its kind, and will always be the greatest.
Mankind discovers your canyon. They stare in awe at its beauty, and inhabit it. They are the triumphant ones, the ones that have found their home. Their optimism is mirrored by the music the local band begins to play. It is tranquil yet energetic, beautiful yet abrasive, and flows for what seems to be days on end. They feel in control. They own this canyon. They are the "Giants," and they have begun life as we know it today.
