Well this is my first review, please no appluase. NOFX is my favortie band, and i just thought, hey why not write a review. But tahts beside the point, hey! fun fact, this song had 22 songs at first, but they threw away 8 songs, wow, I think it would have been much cooler with 22 but yeah..

1. And Now For Something Completely Similair- This is a cool song, and if u know NOFX you will notice right off the bat that it sounds exactly like a previous song Linoleum (From Punk In Drublic)on taht note i dont give this avery high rating because it jus repeats an old song 5/10

2. Take Two Placebos And Call Me Lame- This is a pretty cool song, I got into it the first time i listened to it, and once again Fat Mike forces some real good ryhmes with big words. Oh and theres a part where Melvin does a really cool effect for his guitar, if anyone can tell me what it is, i would really appreciate it 9/10

3. Whats The Matter With Parents Today- Well this is a fun song. It talks about parents being very like their kids, and thats pretty wierd for that to happen. I know i would be freaked out if my parents did that haha. Not one of their greatest though 8/10

4. Dinosaurs Will Die- This is one of my MOST favorites on this album! very cool guitar! And very compelling lyrics. Take down big record companies, very very very good 10/10

5. Thank God It's Monday- Well not a big fan of this song, its catchy, but its just too poppy, but lots of people like it, just not me. 7/10

6. Clams Have Feelings Too- Well i must be honest, I find this song pretty annoying and boring. Everyone whos listened to this that I kno thoguth it was very funny and liked it alot. But i geuss im just crazy 6/10

7. Louise- Wow, is there any other words i can say for this song? Very typical NOFX right here haha, very very funny song. What i didnt understand though, is why they made the song Liza & Louise before the songs Liza and Louise? But anyways, very good solo in this song, a very god song 9.5/10

8. Stranger Than Fishin'- This is a real cool song, another on of my favorite songs. I like the 45 or 46 Songs version better, but they still do a good job here 9/10

9. Pharmacist's Daughter- This is pretty good song, a good intro, and sum real cool lyrics of a man and his love with the pharmacist's daughter, or maybe just her drugs? Very good solo, but the song needs to be better untill the solo 8.5/10

10. Bottles To The Ground- When i first got this CD i really liked this song, it has a really catchy chorus. But as i listen to it more, each time i find i dont like it as much as i used too. 8/10

11. Total Bummer- This song starts out very good with a bass intro, and stays good through the whole song. It basically says a whole bunch of things that make u think, "wow what a bummer." great song, Probably my favorite song on the album. Very good drumming by smelly, and a very good solo by Eric 10/10

12. My Vagina- Again, a very typical NOFX song, haha man it has the funniest lyrics! Another one of my favorites. 9.5/10

13. Herojuana- This song as a pretty cool intro, and it starts out slow, but then gets faster, and thats when it really turns into a great song. Great lyrics that when u take them in, they can really make you think. Downside is taht the outro really just drags on, when u think its gunna end, it goes again. Still a real good song though 9/10

14. Theme From A NOFX Song- Well its the last song on the album, and they do it good. It basically talks about every body in the band, a little bit of history, and maybe they strecthed teh truth a little bit to get some rhymes. Its slow for a good part, but because of the Accordion, its worth it. I really love this song, and its put together very well, especially the great guitar solo! 9.5/10

Well this concludes my review, i hope if u havent bought this album you will go out and get it right now, a good NOFX fan will like this one.

Well, I have to say: For a first-time review this is ok, but not top notch Grade A material. Still, I see potential there, so some hints to make yur next review better:

A bit more information on the individual songs would be good. More info about the structure of the songs, instrumental use etc.

Maybe also consult this page here for more information on reviewing in general: http://www.musicianforums.com/sputnik/guidelines.php
There are a lot of hints in there that can improve your reviewing style.

Not a big NOFX fan, but I love Dinosaurs Will Die. Pretty good job as your first. Damrod gave you the best possible pointers. Keep it going. :thumb:

I also love NOFX but I got really tired of the old stuff which IMO, is better. I just wish the band would leave the shameful pop/punk streak they've been on.

Pretty good review for a first. Go look at some Top15 reviews for some pointers. Why don't you review all of the essential NOFX's....

It was better than my first review...

One more pointer, you rate songs to high. You said 'clams have feelings too' was boring and annoying, yet you ranked it as above averege.

Currently my favorite NOFX album, but I haven't heard Punk In Drublic and a couple others. Dinosaurs Will Die, Louise, and Total Bummer are all terrific songs.

Awesome album. This album is what really got NOFX going in the pop-punk direction, but it's full of energy and it's just fun to listen to. Lots of cool little solos from El Hefe too, who they sadly underuse (guy's a classically jazz-trained guitarist and he's playing nothing but pentatonics... waste of REAL talent) lately... I learned how to play punk rock on guitar with a lot of this album, hehe...

This is a great NOFX album. A few songs i dont like but most of them are awesome. Dinosaurs will Die, TGIM and BTTG are among my favourite top NOFX's songs.

No tracks are better then Dinosaurs Will Die. I used to love this album but now it's just overly poppy and annoying. Take Two Placebos and Call me Lame is good for laughs, and there are some solid tracks but I wind up skipping a ton of tracks.

spell check ftw

write your review in MS word and spell check it before you post it

oh and painfully bad review. The first song does not sound like a cover of linoleum, and even if it did, it should still warrant a 5/5 because its such an amazing song
