Hidden in plain view was a one song band for three years until they finally got a recording contract from drive thru records, a record company known for there mistakes and failures looking to change that they came out with "Life In Dreaming" in february of 2005, in my mind its a 6 track album cause besides that its very medoicore at best.
Hidden In Plain View starts off the album like its going to be a gold record, with "Bleed For You" one of my favorites on the album it shows emotion of a past relationship but it is still not good enough after several times of repeating the chrous over and over a very average song, Then It moves to "ashes, ashes" and just go's blank this is a very fast song with some cool lines but its very short and average at best, then a minor deatil really is a one line song, the point is just stupid to put at the fourth song, and is very soft.
The main reason i brought this album was for the singles 20 below and garden statement but they redid 20 below and there wasn't the emotion and greatness the original one had, Garden statement the best song on the album isn't as good as the original but still a great song.
This is were the album go's from good to bad
There are two many slow songs that just carry on and on at the end of the album, and A American Classic has bad duel vocials, and then the last track of the album Haylcon Daze starts out with a pretty cool beat but can't follow up to what the first 5/6 songs started it's a 3/5 type song and this album is a 3/5 type album, Top 5 Addictions is a good song that is defintely worth a listen for the cool lyrics and such, The Innocent ones is still not right for this album or this band, this is a band that should be doing fast songs like at the begging of the album.
In Conclusion: HIPV is a very talented band but should be doing fast songs instead of pop/soft songs, but they are a good band and this album is a 3/5
