Good album, good review. Progressive rock? Nope.
|
| |
Do you understand the concept of paragraphs?
|
| |
With the prog rock I just took what the reviewer classified 'A Crow Left Of the Murder' since genres always get thought about. With paragraphs I used to do my reviews song by song but prefer to keep it all together, generally they are not as long as this review and when I was writing it I didn't notice hence I didn't paragraph.

i'm on the "incubus' best work" side.
great cd.
|
| |
amazing cd, made in a house, overlooking the pacific, surfing everyday.....why wouldnt there be mellow songs? Incubus is Incubus to me, whether it be SCIENCE or MV, i still appreciate the amount of musical genuis put into each and every song

Good album - 4/5.
I'd say Incubus are more Nu-Metal though.
|

my fave incubus album
|
| |
i'm one of those people that think this is incubus' finest hour.
the song warning alone is worth the price of the cd, imo.
|
| |
this is probably thebest incubus album, along with science and make yourself,
echo and under my umbrella r highlights,
Also try an download the live acoustic versions of
11 am or 'are you in',

This album is definitely better than A Crow Left Of The Murder in my opinion.
|
| |
true, crows probably their weakest studio album
|
| |
Hm, I've only started to like this a couple of months ago. When me and my friends bought this last year we were like "wtf?!". I guess we had an overdose of Enjoy Incubus and S.C.I.E.N.C.E..
I like A Crow.. a bit more than this though, even if Brandon sounds gheyer there.

Album Rating: 4.5
If you notice the back cover of the liner notes there's a picture of a whiteboard with the tracks listed in a different order (including tracks that weren't recorded/canned). I find that playing the tracks in that order actually makes the album flow better. Makes me wonder why they didn't release the CD with that song order, but oh well.
Here's the order for those who don't have the linernotes:
1) Have You Ever
2) Blood On The Ground
3) Under My Umbrella
4) Just a Phase
5) Echo
6) 11am
7) Nice To Know You
8) Aqueous Transmission
9) Circles
10) Mexico
11) Are You In?
12) Wish You Were Here
13) Warning
Like I said before, to me at least, it makes the album flow better. And it actually seems like the themes of the songs relate better. As if one song leads into the next thematically. Give it a try I feel like I discovered the album all over again, although it was awesome to begin with.
