I think Fuel is a great band, highly underrated. I like this album much more than Natural Selection, and I don't have Something Like Human.
Also, this is my first review, so I hope I do well.

1. Untitled - This is one of my favorite songs on the cd. Great guitar riff. It is a great way to open up the album, definently pulls you in. Singing is awesome, also. 5/5

2- Bittersweet - This is another great song, but I find the opening riff to be really annoying and not really fit in. After that, It's great. Good beat to it, nice rythm guitar and singing also. 4/5

3. Shimmer - One of the singles off the album. It's a great song, but I get tired of it from hearing it on the radio. I like the guitar/singing intro, although I think the little solo/bridge thing at the end doesn't fit. 3/5

4 - Jesus or a Gun- This used to be my favorite on the album. It is very powerful, heavy distorted guitars and harmonics, with Brett harmonizing with Carl in the verse. After a while, this song got old to me, as it is a bit repetitive. 4/5

5. Sunburn - My favorite song on the album. Great guitar riff opening it, I LOVE the tremelo effect used on it. The lyrics are amazing, as well as the singing(and everything else). The chorus is really catchy. It goes from heavy to light and so forth. The solo is really nice, also. 5/5

6. New Thing - This song is alright. The singing is really powerful, and overall I don't really see anything special on this track. I usually just skip it. 2/5

7. It's come to this - I love the intro, the drums are really nice. I don't like the vocals that much, and I don't like the way they are muffled in the verse. Overall, a pretty good song. 3/5

8. Song for you - I love the drum intro. The guitar is pretty nice, I like the percussive strokes. The singing is good, as usual, nice melody in the chorus. 4/5

9. Mary Pretends - I didn't like this one at first, but after listening it a couple of times, I feel in love with it. It's got great lyrics, and it's one of the more heavier songs on the album. The harmonizing in the chorus is good also. 4/5

10. Ozone - This is my least favorite on the album. The singing is just downright annoying. I guess the guitar riff is DECENT, but nothing special. 1/5

11. Hideaway - This is my 2nd favorite on the album. Great opening riff, clean rythm guitar and distorted lead guitar. I love the vocals, and the dark/sad feel of this song. The solo(s) really fit in well. I listen to this all the time, and I've never gotten sick of it. 10/5

Bonus Tracks:
12. King for a day - I like this one a bit, acoustic guitar, it has sort of a classical type feel to it, starting off with Brett singing and playing a classical guitar. I like the end with the rest of the band, also. 4/5

13. Walk the Sky - My third favorite on the album. It's really great. Unlike the last few tracks, this song sounds really happy. It's something you would play at the end of a concert or something. It really fits as the last song on the album. The lyrics are reallyn nice, also. They should have included it on the regular album, instead of a bonus track.

Overall, this album is great work. Much better than Natural Selection IMO, because all the songs on this album sound different, yet have a similar vibe to them.

Enjoy this album - 4/5

Nice album, but your review needs some work, song reviews could be a bit longer, make a nice conclusion and a intro and it's also good to tell your favorite songs which you recommand and also some pro's and con's

Nice review, Sunburn and Something Like Human are two very similar albums, though this album is more saught after. Bittersweet is the pick of the lot, the film clip is deadly aswell, Sunburn is also a great song.

This album is incredible. Something Like Human had a couple decent tracks, but paled in comparison to this. I hated the single off of Natural Selection.

Fuel was my favorite band in the world for about a year in high school. This is an excellent rock and roll album. I always judge a band by their live shows. I've seen Fuel about 5 times (none in the last few years though ), and they never cease to amaze me. Awesome band...

Sunburn is such an amazing song. Brett Scallion has one of the best voices in mainstream rock, in my opinion.

He's definitely one of the most distinct, if nothing else. This is also their only really solid album. But this is one hell of a disc.

Also, Walk the Sky was on the Godzilla soundtrack, which I'm pretty sure came out after this. This Message Edited On 01.31.07
