This is a 5-track release from one of my favorite bands, Death Cab For Cutie.
Photobooth-Awesome song, no getting around it. Gibbard's vocals aren't quite as emotional in this song as they are on other tracks, but his singing is as cozy as ever. There isn't much guitar at all in this song, instead there is another instrument, and to be honest, I've got no idea what the hell it is. It sounds kind of like a tambourine, but I don't know what it is. The drum line is solid in this song too. One of my favorite Death Cab songs, 5/5.
Technicolor Girls-The slowest, most emotional song on the CD, but one of the best. The guitar is great in this song and it's near impossible not to tap your foot along. Gibbard's vocals are amazing, this guy has a great voice, 4/5.
Song for Kelly Huckaby-Meh, there's an electric guitar instead of an acoustic, which isn't extremely common for DCFC. This song is a little bit harder than my liking as far as Death Cab goes. If I wanted to hear alternative-sounding music, I'd listen to Incubus or something, 3.5/5.
405 (Acoustic)-Great guitar playing in this song, I love it. Gibbard's singing is tremendous here too. The song is rather poppy, but good nonetheless. There isn't much drum play in this song, it's pretty much guitar and singing. However, that doesn't matter, since the quality of both more than make up for it, 4.5/5.
Company Calls Epilouge (Alternate Take)-They distorted Gibbard's vocals in this song, and the guitar overpowers him too. For me, Death Cab's strongest point is vocals, and when the guitar drowns the singing out, it's just not as good, 3/5.
Overall, this is a pretty good EP, definitely worth checking out if you're into Death Cab For Cutie.
