Old Relient K is...

Well, this cd was released when really no one had a clue who Relient K was. I picked it up at my local cd store, never hearing of them before, and i listened to it. What I heard I liked. It was really poppy punk, but it sounded awesome.Just yesterday I decided to finally review, so here it goes.
1. Hello McFly- Starts of with a sweet bass intro. Then has your average pop-punk vocals that make no sense. Then the chorus has sweet dual vocals that makes me shiver every time I hear it. Rating: 3/5
2. My Girlfriend- starts of with a distorted guitar, and then has some weird vocals thing. Then the hilarious vocals come in "Mariylon Manson ate my girlfriend". But the song has a good message. This is probably one of the best songs on the cd. Rating: 4.5/5
3. Wake Up Call- Starts of pretty soft, with an acoustic guitar, then the chorus has awesome guitar and cool punk vocals. Props to Hoopes for the awesome guitar. Rating: 3.5/5
4. Benediction- Its not a real song, its the "benediction" to Wake Up Call. Its pretty interesting.
5. When You're Around- Has a cool guitar intro. The lyrics get kinda annoying. But the chorus peps the song back up again, and may make you start to headbang. Nothing really big in this song so... Rating- 3/5
6. Softer to Me- This song is probably the most emotional song on the cd. Has a sweet guitar intro and then all the instruments kick in. The lyrics and vocals are great. The verse is real punk, then the chorus gets sorta emo, but its real cool. Throughout the song, the guitar is amazing. This is probably one of my favorites on the cd. Rating: 5/5
7. Charles in Charge- I really like this song. It has funny lyrics, and my dad said its about some old tv show, but dont ask me. Rating- 3.5/5
8. Staples- Has a cool punk guitar intro, and the lyrics are pretty cool. The drums are pretty sweet. Nothing really good about this song so... Rating: 3/5
9. Anchorage- just a filler track, but I guess its kinda cool its only 21 seconds long.
10. 17 Magazine- Has a real sweet intro with drums and guitar. The guitar is really cool. The lyrics are pretty cool, but the guitar is probably the best thing in this song. Rating- 3.5/5
11. Balloon Ride- Starts off pretty cool, has really cool vocals. Then the guitar gets a little heavier for the chorus and its pretty good I guess. Rating- 4/5
12. Everything Will Be- Starts off sorta jazzy and weird. Same sorta vocals as My Girlfriend. The vocals kinda sound like the guy from mxpx. The guitar is really cool, but the songs not that great. Rating: 3/5
13. Nancy Drew- Has a cool guitar intro, and gets better and better. Then the drums are cool. The lyrics are pretty funny,its how thessian is in love with nancy drew. Rating 4/5
14. K Car- Starts off with a car cranking up and some honking, then some sweet guitar. The lyrics are pretty funny, and the vocals are pretty good. This is my favorite song on the cd. Rating: 5/5
Well, no review can be perfect because everyone has different opinions, and that was my opinion of the cd.
