Depswa, which is composed of Ryan Burchfield, Gordon Heckaman, Dan Noonan, James Millss and Jeremy Penick, is going to be some of the younger and brighter stars. Sometimes having high expectations on a debut is doubtful, but any rock fan wants this: GREAT sound, GREAT message and TONS of energy.
They have the knack to start slow then jam into guitar and drum riffs. Being a prime example of the is "Two Angels and a Dream."
"Charades" starts with a great guitar riff that reminds me of Metallica. Starts slow with lyrics, but picks up speed, truly defyin it as a hevier song on the album. “Not Responsible” and “Let it Go” are also two of the harder, faster tunes that will really appeal to the heavier crowds.
The album is not all hard rock, although most of the album is, "This Time" shows promise to the softer listeners. Great sound and a good message about how things are going to be different this time.
"From the Inside" shows good riffs, good beats, and some of the best lyrics.
"Two Angels and a Dream" has to be one of the best albums of this time. Heavy stuff should be good mixed with the slower jam packed sound. Add a collection to your CD's with Depswa. They will go places.
