Review Summary: Just Surrenders new Ep, Stronger now, entices people with the future of greatness but also can shamefully fail at times.

The post hardcore band from Poughkeepsie has released 2 great cds and now a 2nd E.P.(Im counting their EP they released when they were A Second Chance) called Stronger Now. 2 new songs hit the streets while an acoustic version and a remix follow right behind them.

First up is the new song/title song called Stronger Now. This song opens the cd to the past and future of Just Surrender. It starts off really hard, similar to Body Language and Bad Habits off their second cd "We're in like Sin". With thier duel vocals coming into play and Jay's screaming taking into effect this song gives me high hopes in seeing what comes next from this band. 10/10

The second song, Crazy, is one that falls short for me. The edgyness/hardness from the first song slips away into an almost singalong type of popish song. This most likly caused by their rush from underground to almost household name. This song is VERY radio friendly but still a good listen. 6/10

I Can Barely Breathe from their first album, "If These Streets Could Talk", is an amazing opener for that cd and that comes into play with the now acoustic version of the song. The harshness of the song gets pulled back in the acoustic version but is replaced with the softness of jay and dan's spectacular duel vocals. 9/10

I Said it Before is from the cd "We're in like Sin" and was a decent song on the cd but this remix epicly failed the original song. i don't know whats with bands lately but they seem the need to make remix's to songs for no reason and ruining songs. The almost DDR feel to the song makes me want to skip around while on ecstasy rather then moshing in a crowded venue. 2/10

With 4 songs giving you a taste of the future, their seems to be more band then good with this EP. Although Just Surrender seems to be going into the more radio friendly area, the Stronger Now song seems to bring me back to watching them in the Chance in Poughkeepsie back when i was 16. Oh were they the days...

Stronger Now- 10/10
Crazy-6/10
I Can Barely Breathe(acoustic)-9/10
I Said it Before(remix)- 2/10

Overall- 6.75, not amazing but keeps me hooked for more
