Buddha was originaly a demo cassete tape blink 182 made and i believe it is what go them famous. They had a friend whos dad was in the music business and worked for a recored company, blink (which is what they were called at the time) gave this demo to their friend and he put it in his dad's car's tape player so he would listen to it and eventually he gave them a contract to do cheshire cat. In 1997 0r 98 blink 182 turned buddha into a cd although its hard to find (I had to get a mate to get it for me from England). The quality isn't veryy high becuase they didnt have the money back then but its listenable.

Carousel: A classic blink song, starts off with a cool bass solo then heavily distorted guitars. Good lyrics although though back then Tom's vocals weren't great but it's a high light of the album. 4/5

TV:this song is strange becuase blink arent singing about girls or masterbation or having sex with family members or animals which is a change.more highly distorted guitar Marks vocals arent bad. Easy to listen to but nothing special. 2.5/5

Strings:i like this song. its really repetitive but the vocals are of good standard by Mark and the lyrics in the verse are very deep which is a higlight of the song. 3/5

Fentoozler:a good song about hating someone and telling them that you don't care what they think about you. Good guitar riff and good lyrics in the chorus. One of the better songs on the album becuae of those reasons.3.5/5

Time:Ok song. It starts really fast then goes really slow nice vocals shared between Mark and Tom. Not a highlight. 2/5

Romeo and Rebecca:I thought this song was awsome personally. Starts with really slow distorted guitar but and bass then Tom stops playing to sing the verse and picks up speed in the chorus. Great lyrics on this song and Tom's vocals go up a level. A more mature Blink song. 4/5

21 days: Every album has it's best song and this is without doubt the best song on buddha. lovely intro on bass and the guitar riff is heaps good. The lyrics on this song are really mature and very easy to relate to. 4.5/5

Sometimes:this song has never appealed to me. i've read the lyrics and i thought they were good but the music on this song and its speed bring it down.1.5/5

Point of view: A good song with a nice intro and Tom's vocals are alot better on this song. Abetter song on the album.3/5

My pet Sally:Tom wrote this song about one of the security guards at his school who often found Tom doing the wrong thing. Rather bad song lyrics are all over the place and so its the guitaring.2/5

Reebok Comercial: This song's intro reminds me of I miss you then it gets speed and becomes a really good song. good lyrics about a boy whos gets all the girls and has it better off than everyone else. 4/5

Toast and bannanas: Don't let the name fool you this song has depth. Good lyrics and vocals aren't bad from Tom but the song would have been better slowed down. 3/5

The girl next door: The last 2 songs are a happy ending to the album as there well done. Markss vocals are good in this and the guitaring is also a highlight. 3.5

Don't: No song could finish this album better. Great lyrics and vocals from Mark. Nice finish to the album. 4/5

Obviously this album isnt in the same league as blinks other albums but they were only young and they were 6 months old when the cassete was released. I'd only buy it if your a big Blink fan if your not it would only turn you off them. Overall I'd give it 3/5

Highlights:Carousel,Romeo and rebecca,21days,Toast and bannanas and Don't

I want to figure out why you have come to the conclusion that My Pet Sally is a song about a Security Guard who finds Tom doing something wrong. The Biggest thing I have to come to is maybe you've never heard this song... But it is definetly and so clearly about someone who's best friend is a salamander... Nothing to do with any security guards... there aren't even any points in this song which could be metaphorical for what you're talking about. You should do something or explain why you think its about that... :S

Good Luck.

Yes it is a bit sloppy. the best thing to do is to get Cheshire Cat. It has the same songs with some new ones and it has a better sound quality.

Yeah I still dunno what you're talking about a security guard. I got my information from listening to the song rather than hearing it off a DVD... and like this whole song is about a salamander except The lonely nights Getting beat up by gays in bar fights which could still be on the topic of the salamander... where the hell do you get the security guard crap from in the song... rather than the DVD.

Although I do hate Blink 182, I might actually give some of their early stuff a listen. I hear it's better than their newer stuff.

the carousel off of Cheshire Cat it was better, but this record has 21 days and girl next door, but Chesire cat has Ben Wah balls, but it also has cocophony and wasting time and a better version of strings, hmm tough one idk i guess id have to give it to Chesire cat but this is an amazing start to a great band

^ Stick with the cat.

If you got that album before this one, there's not much reason to go back to get this album because most of the songs are on cheshire cat.

if you can find it, it's worth it for the blink collector freak. And 21 days makes the whole album worth the money, btw.

and benkickass can f*** off, another btw
