Pros
-Nice vocals from ozzy
-This is classed as metal but it is such really easy to listen to
Cons
-Does not sound like the stuff from Black Sabbath that I want to hear. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paranoid, Black Sabbath’s second record was their most successful. It deserves its success but I think that this album is… overrated. Ridiculously overrated. There are many of their classics on this album, some I like and some I don’t like. It does not sound like what I really want to hear from these guys. For those who agree with me, I highly suggest you
Black Sabbath,
Master of reality and
Sabbath bloody Sabbath. Paranoid is my least favourite album from their good records era, but still it needs to have its place into your record collection (if it isn’t already there)

Track reviews
War pigs/Luke’s wall- This is a great opener for this album and probably my favourite with
faries wear boots. It’s a great song with a lot of drumming, one of Iommi’s dual solos which is pretty cool there. Also, the vocals are wicked in this song. (5/5)
Paranoid-Another classic… But I don’t think it should. This is a good song but certainly not Sabbath’s best has a lot consider it to be. The track is short, nice and pretty heavy and fast and it sounds great but it is not the best there.
(3.5/5)
Planet Caravan- This is a great song. The underwater effect fits the song perfectly and the bluesy guitar too. I love it. Also, the only instruments you can clearly hear in this song is Bill’s bongos and some bass for half of the song and a nice guitar solo for the second part.
(4.5/5)
Iron man-I compare this song to metallica’s
enter sandman[ . It is in no way similar to it but there are some similar stuff into them. Iron man may be a great introducing to Black Sabbath. Enter Sandman was, too. But this is why I hate those two songs. Don’t ask me why, I hate them. Iron man is not that cool at my eyes and the only thing that I like in this song is the guitar solo and the small riff before it.
(2.5/5)
Electric funeral -This is a great song. I love all of it. The vocals are kind of creepy and the guitar riffs suits it perfectly. Also, the bridge is probably one of my favourite from Black Sabbath. (4.5/5)
Hand of doom- This is a good song. There is not a lot of stuff I can say about it except that there are cool guitar work in this one too.
(4/5)
Rat salad- This is mainly a drum solo but there do being other instruments too in this song. I don’t think that it’s so good. It is an okay song but does not fit with me at all. Still it is a good one.
(4/5)
fairies wear boots/jack the stripper- My favourite there. This one is truly a classic and deserves a place with Sabbath’s greatest song. It is full of insane guitar riffs and notice that it is a drug song, has its following album opener. The vocals are pretty funny and it suits the song perfectly. The bass is quite cool in this song too.
An album that every metal fan should own but not their best in my opinion
