What can we say about metallica except that their music was the peak of trash metal, they changed metal forever and played great music? First of all, notice that their bass player, Cliff Burton, died on the road between Master of Puppets and And Justice for all. Kill ‘em all was innovative at that time cause it was a new genre of music. It was call the NWBHM (new wave of british heavy metal) but it changed name to thrash metal. This album is fast, James shouts and it sounds more like a gig than a record due to the bad production. However, how can you get a good production without money? This album is a great introducing to metallica’s other records too.

Track reviews
Hit the lights- Hit the lights is a really good songs which contains one of metallica’s greatest riff. The song is just awesome. There are a couple of solos all around the song and this feature was a new face of metal. (5/5)
The four horsemen- I find that this song is best of the album with
Seek and destroy because the riffs, solo, lyrics and vocals are at their best for this album. The solos are cool and the first pre-solo is really nice too. You can hear the bass well and it has a groovy feeling. The vocal on this song are pretty hard to sing because the pitch is really high. Dave Mustaine wrote this song with the other Metallica members so he actually recorded it with megadeth. The song is named
Mechanix and is faster on the megadeth album
Killing is my business and business is good. Also, the lyrics are ***ty on megadeth’s version cause it talks about car mechanic and stuff like that.
(5/5)
Motorbreath-This song is a song that doesn’t look like any other metallica song. I think that it sounds like punk/metal and it suits perfectly to what metallica were playing at that state of their career. The vocals are pretty cool on this song. I think that the solo is awesome but is short. (4.5/5)
Jump in the fire-Jump in the fire is one of my personal favourites on this album because of the jazzy riff at the beginning, the great solo, and the awesome vocals. This song is really catchy and the riffs will take you away every time you will listen to it. (5/5)
(Anesthesia)Pulling teeth-A bass solo done by Cliff [R.I.P] and on this song, he shows his ability not only for his bass playing but also that he is talented to write a song. Bass players you must take a look at this one.
(5/5)
Whiplash-This is the official birth of trash. It is fast, crunchy, violent and sounds great. The riff is played fast but is quite simple. The vocals are cool but this is really not professional. Still this song is a great song for partying or a song that you can play live has a first one to warm people that thrashes.
(4.5/5)
Phantom Lord- This is my worse favourite song out of this album. Still it’s not a bad song but the smooth part in the middle just piss me off. Still what is from the beginning of the song until the smooth part is great. The vocals fit the song perfectly again.(5/5)
No remorse.- Here is a cool intro to a song. A crunchy riff and soon a fast has hell solo with wha-wha opens the song for real. Then another insane riff comes out and just make you thrashing in your room. This song had a bluesy tone to it.
(5/5)
Seek and destroy- Here is my favourite with the four horsemen and this one is one of metallica’s greatest and well known. The intro almost sound like jazz but this song is typical metal. A song that most metalheads will fall in love with
(5/5)
Metal militia-Similar has whiplash, this song is a great ending to a great album. It is typical metallica. It begins by a fast riff and turns to a faster and harder riff. I can’t imagine how James could
“sing” by playing this song. The vocals are cool but not for everybody. They can be annoying for more people but I think that this song is great.
(4.5/5)
