[Hidden Track] Feeding the Rich

Album Review:
Debuting with their first album, Killradio sets the standards high for the punk genre. The first few tracks at first sound like your average punk band but after listening to a whole song you'll get caught by their catchy guitar riffs and Brandon's amazing vocals. With the whole album focusing on political views that most of us are facing today, Raised on Whipped Cream is sure to send out a message. The album has pretty much no filler songs making this album even better. Talk about a good first impression. These guys definitely have a message and they carry it out well. The name of the band itself gives out a message. "Killradio" simply meaning to kill prefabricated music and the mainstream radio. Even if you're not a big punk fan this album will catch your attention.

1. A.M.E.R.I.K.A.
This song starts off with the first message they try to convey followed by a loud scream that then breaks into the song with a catchy riff. The song itself is pretty good but not the best in the album.
3/5

2. Scavenger
This is their first single which almost went mainstream and even appeared in a video game soundtrack (NFSU2). The chorus in this song is very catchy and is what actually got me into getting more involved into Killradio. Great song with a great message.
4/5

3. Do You Know (Knife in Your Back)
This is possibly the catchiest song in the entire album. It starts off with a catchy riff followed by Brandon's voice at its finest. After a few lines the chorus comes in and this is what really gets you addicted to this song. The song's message is something a lot of us face so it's good both musically and lyrically.
5/5

4. Pull Out
This song has a short and odd intro which simply goes right into the chorus. The verses are actually better than the chorus itself in my opinion. Not really one of the better songs of the album.
2.5/5

5. Entertained
The intro to this song sends out the message they mainly stand for. The song basically talks about being, well, entertained by prefabricated media. Although the quote in the beginning is one of my favorite's it doesn't necessarily make this one of my favorite songs.
3/5

6. Penis Envy
The intro to this song is quite interesting. Brandon does some beat-boxing that goes along with the beat. He later goes into some verses and then into the chorus which is both catchy and meaningful. The song talks about how envious people are to have more and more.
4/5

7. Freedom?
Another interesting quote starts off this song. The mix between the guitar riff and Brandon's singing in this song make this an amazing song.
4.5/5

8. Where Go We
This song sounds a bit different than the others as it has a lighter touch to it. The first two minutes or so aren't too exciting as nothing changes but as soon as they finish the third repetition of the chorus they go into a totally different mood. After some flangering of the guitar and some different vocals it rolls right back into place for one more chorus.
5/5

9. Burning the Water Brown
This song also has a much lighter touch to it compared to the rest of the album. This is another one of their catchy songs with a catchy chorus. Around the mid-end of the song Dirty comes in with a short bass line that, as we have now learned, is also catchy.
4/5

10. Ad Jam
This is probably the only song I don't really like out of the entire album. Although the chorus and the guitar riffs are somewhat catchy, I don't necessarily like Brandon's singing in this song.
2/5

11. Classroom Blues
This song has a nice feeling to it. Not one of the best but not one of the worst songs off of the album. As all of the songs on the album this one also tackles problem with today's society.
3.5/5

12. Raised on Whipped Cream
The final track on the album tackles just about any political problem you can think of. Great way to finish the album with one of the best songs on the album. Catchy overall song and a good message.
5/5

[Hidden Track] Feeding the Rich
Just when you think the album is finished they were even nice enough to include an extra hidden track. This song is actually not bad for a hidden track. It almost ties up with the other top songs of the album. Once again this song has the elements of a good song (good message and a catchy chours).
4.5/5

Good first review, but the band themselves sound as dumbed down as Guttermouth.

You bastard. I saw these guys in concert awhile ago and intended to write a review, but I guess you beat me to it.

They are actually quite good live(except when their bassists rig stopped working) and the CD is fairly good as well, but it just doesn't stand up to repeated listenings, it gets a bit old after a number of listens and in my opinion gets only about a 3-3.5

Great album, but the ratings you give the songs don't really average out to a 4.5
