I got this album ages ago (2 days before it was released) and still listen to it over and over without getting bored.
1. An Honest Mistake - The opening track on the album and the band's second UK single. This song is probably one of the best and will most definitely go on to be heard for years to come. There isn't anything in this song that would classify as below average. Evrything's amazaing. 9/10
2. No Brakes - This song opens with the catchiest and most impressive basslines I've heard in a long time. The lyrics are pretty cool and overall it's a very catchy song. Good luck keeping it out of your head. 8/10
3. Fearless - The band's most recent single. Not exactly the best on the album and, in my eyes, not the best idea to release it. However it is one to play at a party and chances are people will get up and dance to it. 6/10
4. Tyrant - Definitely the best song on the album. This song deserves as much recognition as possible. The bass is mind blowing, the drumming is absolutely fantastic and the lyrics are extremely clever and catchy. 11/10
5. Give In - My friend described the openin of this song as too much like an Ian Van Dahl song. He couldn't be more wrong. For me, this is a defining song for the band and definitely shouldv'e been released instead of fearless. 8/10
6. Swollen Summer - The kind of song you want to listen whilst driving down an open road at 100mph. Fast paced and exciting with the most impressive guitaring on the album. Definitely one of their best. 9/10
7. Public Service Announcement - The best bassline I have heard in a long time. The chorus is one of the best I have heard from them and has the best lyrics ever ("Stop, Drop and Roll... You're on Fire). Doesn;t sound like much on it's own but with the backing music it's amazing. 9/10
8. Out Of Line - There are three words to desribe this song. OH MY GOD!! It's absolutely amazing! Second only to 'Tyrant' as the best song on the album. An extremely catchy chorus and definitely the best for showing off John' talents as a keyboardist. 10/10
9. Unconditional - The band's first single. The song opens with an amazing keyboard riff, followed by a simple, yet astounding, bassline. This is the song that really got me into The Bravery. A damn good song. 9/10
10. The Ring Song - Not the best song I've heard in a while. The only good thing about this song is the keyboard lines really. Nothing else that fantastic. 4/10
11. Rites Of Spring - The opening riff on this song is so good you could eat it. It's also a great opening for an even greater song. 8/10
12. Hot Pursuit (Bonus Track) - I can't think of a better way to end the album. A lot of albums I have end with songs that are reasonably dull and in some cases do not leave you wating to listen to the album agaim. However this song makes you want to buy the album again, for no reason whatsoever. 10/10
Hey Sunshiney Day - This song is the B-Side to An Honest Mistake, so it shoudln't really count in the review, but it's too good to be left out. Apparently it's a cover but I'm not sure who by. They still manage to pull it off and I'd like to hear the original, just to see if it can better this already amazing song. 9/10
Overall, I can't think of a better way to spend £10. This album is definitely the best album I own, and I own a lot of amazing albums. Can't wait to see them!!
