1. Transistor- This song starts out with a really powerful instrumental and later in the song it switches to some reggae beat and it still sounds cool. I've always loved this song. It's just different from most songs you hear these days. They don't rap at all in this song. They went from an album that raps in basically all of the songs to an album that has some crazy and weird stuff. This song is an excellent way to start the album off.
4.5/5

2. Prisoner- This is mostly a funky reggae beat with a lot of really cool effects from S.A. on the turntables. Once again, no rapping in this song, and once again, this has always been one of my favorites. The lyrics in this song are really deep, it's hard to tell what they're talking about. That's how most of the songs on this album are. 4.5/5

3. Galaxy- It starts out with a really powerful instrumental kinda like "Transistor," and leads into a rap/rock song like the songs off of the blue album. The only difference is that S.A. is talking about outer space stuff and it's really hard to tell what he's talking about. S.A. is the only one that sings in this song, which is also a unique thing about this song. 4.5/5

4. Beautiful Disaster- This song starts with a guitar duet from Nick and Tim and leads into another one later in the song. This is one of the only songs that you can actually tell what they're talking about. He's talking about how it's no fun to be negative all the time and to always try and be optimistic. No rapping in this one either. This is easily a 311 classic. 4.5/5

5. Inner Light Spectrum- This is another funk/reggae beat kinda like "Prisoner" but a lot slower and a lot deeper. You could listen to this one for hours and not get sick of it. I love this song. 4.5/5

6. Electricity- O.K. They were doing really good with all of the songs on this album until they got to this one. I like this one, but it took me almost a year to learn to appreciate it. The lyrics don't really fit the instrumental at the start, but it gets better as it goes on. This does have a really good message. He's talkin about being anti-racist and he's saying that it doesn't matter what race you are, everyone is equal, we all came from the same place. 3/5

7. What was I Thinking- This starts out with an amazing slap bass part and leads into a really powerful song. The instrumental is so simple, but it's so amazing. You can't help but at least bob your head a little when you hear this song. I've yet to see this song played live, but it's one of the songs that I want to see live the most. It would be such an easy song to jump up and down to. 5/5

8. Jupiter- It starts out with some organ chords and leads to a little drum beat kinda like the one at the beginning of "Don't Stay Home" and then leads to really good guitar and bass part. This song, like "Beautiful Disaster," is talking about just being positive no matter what happens to you. If you're feeling negative about things, just read these lyrics and you'll start thinkin positive again. "Although your true love has just left you, well at least your mother kept you" and "At least you have ears to hear this song, and if you're
reading in closed caption, there's still bad things that could have happened" are some of the lyrics from this song. I love this song. 5/5

9. Use of Time- This is 311's first song where they use mostly acoustic guitar. They use an acoustic until the very end when Tim does a solo. This is a really mellow song. Really easy to just sit down and relax to. Good song. 4/5

10. The Continuous Life- It starts out with a really simple, yet cool-sounding guitar part that leads into a rap by S.A. He's the only one that sings in this song and he raps the whole time. It's a little bit like "Galaxy" but it's more mellow. 4/5

11. No Control- It starts off with a funk guitar part that sounds a little like "Plain" or "Welcome." The song is pretty mellow while Nick's singing, but when S.A. starts rapping it gets a lot harder. I've always been a fan of this song. It's really good. 4/5

12. Running- This is really different from 311's previous work. It's a really mellow song, that mixes a lot of different styles. I don't really no how to explain it, but the instrumental is amazing. I especially like the percussion during the chorus. Nick and Tim play during this song, so there's two different guitar parts, and there's no rapping. 4.5/5

13. Color- This is just an instrumental, but a very good one. I'd say that the highlight of this song is the drum part. It mixes a lot of different styles just like "Running." That's probably why it's called Color, but I don't know. Even though it's just an instrumental, it's really fun to listen to. 3.5/5

14. Light Years- This is WAY different from most of their stuff. The instrumental is kind of like "Color," with some funk/reggae beats and an organ. This isn't the kind of reggae song that you could imagine yourself on the beach while you're listening to it. With this song, you could imagine yourself on the moon or something while you're listening to it. It's definitely pretty weird, but I like it. 3.5/5

15. Creature Feature- It starts out with a really cool bass part and leads into another really weird one like the previous three songs on this album. S.A.'s the only one who sings in this song. This song is really mellow until the chorus, then it gets harder and the drums/percussion get amazing. The drum part in this song is really good. I used to not really like this song, but I've grown to appreciate it over time. 3.5/5

16. Tune In- OK, this song sounds like some normal 311, except for the lyrics which talk about more outer space stuff. But other than the lyrics, there's a lot of rapping and a guitar part that's very similar to a lot of the guitar parts on the Blue Album or Grassroots. It's pretty short, but it maintains a steady beat and style. Good song. 4/5

17. Rub A Dub- Other than "Leaving Babylon," this song is the most reggae of a song that they've done so far. With this song you can imagine yourself laying out on a Hawaii beach somewhere. There are a lot of cool turntable parts too. I love this song. 4.5/5

18. Starshines- This is a lot like the ones off of the Blue Album until the chorus where they mix a dancehall style guitar part with a funk part. It sounds pretty damn cool. Nick also raps during most of the song except for the chorus too. It's a pretty normal song until the very end when S.A. busts out this huge rap that talks about outer space/end of the world stuff. It's pretty weird, but really cool. 4.5/5

19. Strangers- This song has a funk guitar part with vocals kind of like the ones off of "Rub A Dub" through basically the whole song. This one doesn't talk about anything weird, and it's a really good song to relax to. 4/5

20. Borders- This song is A LOT like "Tune In." A rap/rock song that is awesome. This is one of my favorite 311 songs, really easy to rock out to. 4.5/5

21. Stealing Happy Hours- Wow! This is probably 311's most unique song to date, and one of their best songs to date. This song is my favorite 311 song. The only ones that can even compete with it are "Sometimes Jacks Rule the Realm" off of Evolver, and "Sever" off of Soundsystem. The percussion is amazing throughout the whole song, there is about four guitar solos, there is P-nut's signature bass style that couldn't be any better, and the turntables blow your mind when you hear them. This is definitely one of the best, if not, the best 311 song ever. 5/5

Although this album has some pretty weird stuff, it has some pretty cool stuff too. This shows that you can have an album that's competely out of the norm and have success. I love listening to this album. It's awesome!
