Review Summary: A great debut album from a band you've probably never heard before.

Well Hello is a 4 piece indie pop band from the tip of Long Island. They gained local popularity as “The Topsiders” while the members were in high school. Now in their early twenties, the members want to continue making music. And with Apple releasing their debut full length “Couture.” On iTunes, more people can get a hold of their music.

“Couture.” Is essentially an indie pop/punk album; however each member uses their talents to give the music a fresh edge that will surprise most listeners who believe that this is just another generic album from a “garage band.” These guys prove that although they are unsigned, they can still be able to make music that can and will embarrass most bands that are signed to record labels.

The entire album can be summed up with just the members and what they do. Because of their unique talents so many different influences go into “Couture.” Justin who is plays rhythm guitar, and provides the lead vocals to the band. His distinctive voice helps Well Hello stray from the pack. He has incredible range (climax of Kissed By A Brick (Pt. 2), while still maintaining to keep his voice from screeching, or cracking. Randy who provides lead guitar and background vocals to keep your ears listening to interesting riffs that make the songs more appealing (intro to Central Park (Without The Perks) ), while singing the chorus in lower octaves keeping the chorus catchy and enjoyable. The best part about this record is the bass. It is completely audible and has both steady and technical bass lines (Of Mice And Memories). Chris who plays the bass, and who also provides background vocals (with a great voice) keeps your feet tapping, and keeps the beats and rhythms in your head. Andy who beats the drums using techniques from all different genres of music including metalcore which somehow fits extremely well. (Breakdown in Lying To Survive.) Without these members Well Hello would not be the same because of each of their own unique blend that goes into the mix.

Believe me reading this you probably won’t expect much from this album. EXPECT A LOT. Completely disregard the status of the band. So they aren’t signed. It doesn’t matter. They still provide great music that is not only catchy, but is also simple yet technical at the same time. This album though far from perfect, it could have been a little longer seeing as it only has nine songs. But listen to me, this album can't be described in words. This is a must listen.
