o though and the length is relatively short. (4.5/5)

10. Under the Sun(5:50)- Yet another song with countless numbers of amazing riffs. A very dark and gloomy overall feel. Reminded me of Sabbaths self titled song on their debut.

Overall: 4.5/5. With the exceptions of Changes and FX, this is a stellar album(quite possibly my favorite after Master of Reality). Definitely check it out if you haven't already.

Changes is a sick song, the only problem with it is that Kelly Osbourne butchered it when she covered it.

Nice review. the album is great. the guitar sound is far different from the previous albums, but kool none the less. Wheels Of Confusion, thats where the song puts you,a truly excellent song, great, rolling, droning riffs, a brilliant song to just listen to in the dark. Snowblind-what a riff, heavy, kool, but also has the softer high bits, followed by the main drone, excellent lyrics, Dont You Think I Know What Im Doing etc, four anthemic lines for all stoners. laguna sunrise, another to just listen to in the dark, relaxing and chilling. What lyrics in Under The Sun,a truly underrated song, and that second riff is truly a masterpiece on its own. Oh,good comment about kelly, she was the biggest mistake of Ozzys life, biting the bats head off was better than having her.

Vol . 4 only deserves a 2.5 or a 3. It's a fairly average album, with a lot of weak tracks.

"Changes" is great, you crazy man.

Ruined by Changes is true. Only time I liked hearing Changes was the end of the Sabbath set at ozzfest as everyone was trickling out to leave. Just seemed fitting, other than that I skip it every time.

FX is a good transition into Supernaut me thinks, and I much enjoy it.

Under the Sun/Every Day comes and Goes, is an amazing song, some exceptional riffs (as if thats something new)

^^

ooh, and infact, the first SIX Sabbath records are awesome. This Message Edited On 04.12.06

So if we like Sabbath we don't like a song they wrote?

I rather liked Changes. It's nice to hear that they were at least experimenting.

I'd take Changes over many of Sabbath's later unispired attempts at heaviness. What do I know

Aren't you "digging" Black Sabbath right now? Or does Activista fool John yet again?

Honestly, though, I like Changes. Or at least, parts of it. It's an effort, at least. This Message Edited On 08.28.06

Sorry for the mix up John Paul. I was making reference to what Modest Mouse said earlier in the thread. If you don't get it, no one will. I will edit

Do not say such things, John Paul. It is unsettling to the lesser folk (myself included therein).

I like what I have heard from this album. Worth a buy? Possibly.

I really dig Sabbath and I'd say that this is maybe their third or fourth greatest album. By the way, I think Changes is a great song. You may find it corny, or you might just only like the really heavy stuff; but I'd defend it saying it still has the Sabbath "mood," dreary and a little haunting. Sure not quiet as ominous as others, but still one of the better tracks on the album.

This was really disappointing. Really good at some points, but at others...
