Song by song review:

1-You are (the government) :
This song is the first and is pretty cool wit it's fast heavy riff. It's a short song with a 1 time chorus at the end of song. (4.5/5)

2-1000 more fools :
Cool song with a catchy chorus and Greg's voice that brings a lot to the song, else the guitar is ok but still some good riffs. (4/5)

3-How much is enough :
A fast guitar song with great bass and cool chorus and backvocals. One of my favorite song of the album. (5/5)

4-When? :
This is an ordinary at beginning but WHEN you reach the chorus you find it great but otherwise it's just normal.(3.5/5)

5-Give you nothing :
This is a great song with fast singing and 3 chords guitar that is cool even if realy simple. After the song becomes slower for like 30 seconds and becomes faster then it ends after the chorus that is great. One of my favorite song on this album (5/5)

6-Land of competition :
An other song that is pretty simple and not quite different from others so it quite sounds a bit same as the rest. There's a little solo but nothing so great.(3.5/5)

7-Forbidden beat :
Fast song with cool bass on it with 4 guitar chords riff. (4.5/5)

8-Best for you :
3 chords again... but it has a good chorus with couple backvocals and a solo at the end.(3.5/5)

9-Suffer :
This song is pretty original with some cool drum and good guitar riffs in all the song, a solo that is pretty cool but amybe to much distortion in it and chorus that is realy great.(5/5)

10-Delirium of disorder :
The fastest song of this album and it rocks hell out. This song would be so great to see live. It has a good chorus.(5/5)

11-Part II (the numbers game) :
This is a cool song and you can learn to count with it. Well I have nothing to say realy...(3/5)

12-What can you do? :
This song is my least favorite ,it's just to slow...there's a good guitar solo after some cool drums at least so i give it (3/5)

13-Do what you want :
This is a good punk fast song like i like them and a catchy chorus with a cool 4 chords guitar riff.(4.5/5)

14-Part IV (the index fossil) :
Simple song again but the bass is realy good at the chorus. Lyrics talks about the envorinement.(3.5/5)

15-Pessimistic Lines :
This songs has great riffs and soloing, it couldn't have be an other song than this one to end this album.(4.5/5)

Conclusion:
I have to say that it's such a great album but the songs are very short and all around 1:30 minute and it gives us a 26 minutes album with 15 songs !?!?!But at least there's some pretty good songs.

Overall: (4.2/5)

Nice review. Would be cool though if you could edit the title of the thread to match it with the others.

Something like "(Punk) Bad Religion - Suffer"

Good review. I prefer Bad Religion with Brian Baker, but good album.

Damn, this album is so influential. NOFX, Lagwagon, Strung Out, Pennywise, etc... none of those bands would be here as they are without this record. It's a little overrated (No Control, ATG, and maybe Process Of Belief are better), but considering the time it came out (1988), punk rock was pretty fuckin' dead by then, and this album came and saved it. Absolute classic.

Truthfully, IMO the review doesn't do justice to how important Suffer is to punk rock in general...
