Review:

The 4th album added to the collection by Korn, a band that many say were the first ever nu-metal band. This album suprised and impressed many fans, for the quality and maturity this album compared to their previous 3. A song like Make Me Bad would have been unthinkable for Korn when they started out about 6 years ago.

Good drumming, Neat guitar parts, better sounding bass than what they previously had (not so clicky ;) ) , and good vocals that match korns music are a strong point for this album. Even if your not a korn fan, you can't help but like a few of these songs. 3 Of my favorites are Make me bad, No way, and Trash. In their last 2 albums they featured rap artists. There is no rap in this album.

Dead - (1:12) - A nice short intro to the cd song. Jonathan Davis plays the bagpipes in this song. 3/5

Falling Away From Me - (4:30) - One of their Hit songs. Cool sounding guitar parts. 4/5

Trash - (3:27) - One of my favorite songs from this album. 5/5

4 U - (1:42) - A short track filler song, It sounds pretty cool. 5/5

Beg For Me - (3:53) - A cool song, deffinatly one of the top songs from this album. 5/5

Make Me Bad - (3:55) - Another one of their hits. At the end of the music video one of the scienctists is holding a jar, you can easily see that its upright. When it changes to the next scene, the jar is clearly upside down! 5/5

Its Gonna Go Away - (1:30) - A wierd short filler track 3/5

Wake Up - (4:08) - "Wake the fuck up!" its an alright song. When your parents try to wake you up in the morning, put on this song ;)

Am I Going Crazy - (:58) - Another filler track 3/5

Hey Daddy - (3:44) -Another song about his dad... 3/5

Somebody, Someone - (3:47) - Another hit song. One of the best on the album. 5/5

No Way - (4:08) - An awesome song. One of the top 3 on this album 5/5

Lets Get This Party Started - (3:41) - Awesome song 5/5

Wish You Could Be Me - (1:07) - Wierd filler track 3/5

Counting - (3:38) - cool acustic slideish sounding song 5/5

Dirty - (7:50) - Good ending to the album. Its annoying at the end when the song ends because it is just static for a few mins. Besides the static its a good song. 4/5

In conclusion, For Korn this album was a great comeback from "Follow the Leader". It wasen't so soft and cheesy as "follow the leader" was. It was more like their original sound, but more mature.

Overall, For Nu-Metal, I would give this album a 3.5 / 5

...

If you're going to do track-by-track, you've really got to give alot more information on each track than that.

Give him some credit, he said it was 5/5 for within the genre.

This was actually the first Korn I ever heard, since I heard Somebody, Someone oh so long ago. I suppose your review is fair within the genre - Korn is probably the defining nu metal band, but the quality of the album I really don't know.

But the review itself was a little short on info. You could easily get a fairly lengthy thing out of this, since its Korn and you really seem to like it.

But for the record, I hate Korn, including this album.

I actually have this album, it's definitely not worth a 5/5, maybe a 2/5
It's not even that though. It's not even 5/5 within Korn's catalogue.
Well, I don't have it, so I don't know.

It isn't Korn's worst CD (that'd be Untouchables), but it's not their best (that'd be their self-titled one).
And yeah, the review definitely needs to be longer.
Shame on you.

the album is really short, only 1.35 half hours
i think no1"dead"" is to heavy but the violin makes things better
johnatan davis is better the pavarotti because he can hit the really high notes
my dog listens to this album all the time en then his leg was twitching
yeah and it was 7.2 version of winny the pooh

This was my very fistr Korn CD. It really is a good CD but it is not their best. It has several good songs on it.

definitly a good album (if you like Korn). I agree that Issues is a bit more serious than their previous stuff, but not necessarily a bad thing.

And oh yeah, the song "Hey Daddy" isnt about his dad. if i remember correctly, i recall reading in Revolver magazine, Jonathan's nickname was daddy, the song is actually about himself.

Yeah, Jonathan's old nickname was daddy, he uses something else now though...

I gave it a 4/5 (for nu-metal) overall (all genres) i'd give it a 2/5

Their best CD in my opinion is "Take A Look In The Mirror" and second would be the self-entitled one.

Care to elaborate? In my opinion, this was a poor attempt by a fading band. A few songs were great, namely Let's Get This Party Started. But overall, the songs sounded much too similar, and this was stuff that we had already heard done better on thier s/t, Life Is Peachy, and Follow The Leader.

It's definitely worse than my first attempt at reviewing this(as AshtrayTheUnforgiven). That or much worse(my review being worse than this as Ashtray.)
