Review Summary: Apologize for nothing is very possibly the defining line of the sane and the insane. It is a very well blend of amazing instruments and every one singing. Yea I know what your thinking.. everyone singing could it even work…

Well to me it works, I never even heard of Bobaflex until a friend showed them to me in my video communications class. After a good listen I instantly went out and bought it and I was so very impressed words cannot really explain. For most this is not their cup of tea, which is weird because I’m a metal head, I love every thing metal and hardcore and still like these guys. I couldn’t even begin to tell you what their genre is but I am sure this site has a good one for it. The album itself consist of more of the new rock style instruments some screaming vocals, some high pitch singing, a lot of deep backing vocals and an extremely impressive bassist. Some good and bad: very good sound all around but its mostly vocals that come to your ear. You have to listen to catch the true sound of the music but when you find it, it is impressive. Almost every single one of the songs on the album is catchy. It’s not like most CD’s when the single and a few others are catchy but not he whole thing even to an extent.

The album starts out with a very good track to open with a true attention grabber or if it’s not your cup of tea could turn you away in disgust. It Starts out with a kind of quite intro leading into an explosion of vocals from 3 or four band members and instruments. Lots f trading of vocals and weird lyrics but hey its hard to find a band without weird lyrics. the track is called six feet underground. Overall I’d give it a 4/5.

Better than me is the singe off the album and it is a weird one at that. Let me just explain... “There’s a teenager she’s ***ing high on drugs I think she’s driving my truck.”
The verse consists of more trading off vocals and an impressive bass line. And there is a pretty catch chorus and a soft break but other than that its pretty simple writing style all in all 3.5/5.

Number three off the album is a favorite of mine. The track is called bright red violent sex. Its just very catchy all around comes out with a “I don’t wanna hurt, I don’t wanna hurt you, bright red violent sex.” From there I was just stuck listening and it turns out to be a very good song some soft spots but quite a bit of screaming at the same time. The instrumentals of the song is actually pretty good but you have to listen hard I’m telling you. 5/5.

Track four is called bullseye. This one is a song that I actually had to turn my head away. The begging of the song is very good instruments and cool vocals all around but then later they kind of start rapping and that is definitely not my cup of tea. I would have to give it a 3/5.

Also with track 5 I was a little so so about but it turns out to be a good song in the end. The intro starts off very soft and when the vocals come in you start to wonder if it is gonna be a softy but nope then your completely turned around with a explosive guitars that are pretty cool I might add and them some different voices singing about world war 2 which is just weird but it is a good song. Some impressive guitar work throughout the song. Overall 4/5.

Number 6 is called G.U.T or got you trapped. Fantastic song definitely my favorite on cd. Starts out with a simple but catch drum beat that crescendos up to some stand alone vocals and them some in and out guitar work. Mainly a vocal song but this is Bobaflex’s.
There is a ery cool break that crescendos into an explosive outro with which we song the only double bass used on the album and the first song that Bobalflex ever used. Great song 5/5.

Turn the heat up. This song is just an anthem song that truthfully stands up to its reputation. Impressive guitar and vocal work throughout kind of rapping but its still good even though earlier I said that was a no no. but with a chanting chou consisting of turn the heat up, turning the ***ing heat up, repeated a lot through out the song with an impressive solo put behind it in the end making a fantastic outro. 5/5.

Track 8 is he softer song of the CD but the lyricism is fantastic also. Very weird lyrics until the end, when I’m truly talking about the lyricism. An example being “my father was a shape shifter; he used to play tricks on us kids, by hiding under beds. And I know what’s on his face cause it’s on my mind those eyes are burning red. And the devil stands in front of me because I guess that’s what I want to see but I love him any way because he’s my pa…” well I thought that it was kind of good at least you can form your own opinions. Also the musician ship isn’t great but the bass lines are pretty cool. 4/5.

The guardian is number nine on the album and to me this is exactly where the CD falls off of its standing point. There is some more weird lyrics but mediocre instrument parts very simple stuff. Also this is not a very catch song at all in my book 2.5/5.

Medicine is track 10 and this one was more catchy and on the better side of things. Fast vocals, and weird vocals and once again some weird lyrics. Very good instrumentals and it is a very catchy song all around, there is some screaming in there and a cool breakdown well I’m not sure if it is but it seems like it. Well I guess it could be a pre chorus too. Has a good place on the album due to the other 3 of the last 4 are pretty sucky in terms of the rest of the album so its like a pick me up. 4/5.

Number 11 is Don’t lie down with dogs. Sounds weird enough but its referring to prostitutes and sluts pretty much, So, weird or good metaphor? You can decide. This is kind of a mess around song much like the entirety of the latest SOAD album. Nothing special for anything in this song besides that it has very funny lyrics in all 2/5.

The last song on the album is rescue you. It starts out with some good drumming and Quite vocals. Weird lyrics. the song picks up but still remains soft probably the softest on the album I wasn’t particularly pleased with this song so that’s about all I’m going to say about it. 2.5/5.

All in all this was a pretty good cd i was impressed. i have heard great things about their live show as well and some impressive things about them as people so all in all once again good band good cd btw if you would like to tell me ths review sucks id prolly agree with you wasnt my best so if you felt like i wasted your time i apologize.

Put a conclusion man. Reading the review, it seemed like you had to write it instead of you wanted to write it. Eh i dunno.

I haven't heard this band, nor do I want to. We were lucky to miss them on Gigantour.

I saw them at Gigantour 04.

Their guitarist was doing cheerleader-esque kicks. I rest my case.
