 | butt. Stumbled upon JD Crow and the New South yesterday, then saw you just added them to the db last month (I think)? Good stuff and pretty obscure lol. Cheers

 | AliW1993 As for the current scene, The Twilight Sad, Admiral Fallow and Withered Hand all excellent. King Creosote is well worth a listen. His discog is massive so you're probably best starting with the collaborative record he did with Jon Hopkins. We Were Promised Jetpacks and Idlewild are pretty good too if you're after some more straight forward rock.

 | AliW1993 Thanks man, glad you enjoyed them. Scottish music; where to begin...? The first three Belle And Sebastian records are utterly essential, and they had their moments after that too. Aidan Moffat is the ultimate miserable Scot. He did a fantastic record with Bill Wells last year called Everyone's Getting Older. If you enjoy than then you can move on to his work with Arab Strap, though some of it is pretty hard work.
