From my little knowledge of caspian and my own personal preferences when it comes to post-rock, I'd recommend giving Pg.lost's song 'Yes I Am' a go; no pressure obviously but if you are at all interested in dipping your toes into some guitar driven, concise and visceral post-rock its worth a spin. AsleepInTheBack ...You mention frustration with several passages that feel aimless, anticlimactic, or just don't sound pleasant; in my opinion thats intentional. Its not all meant to be pleasant or feel purposeful, tying in with its themes. Some parts are meant to feel overbearing, some beautiful, and I think its more structured than it first appears. Then again, I love Godspeed's music for its mystery and how it can be interpreted divergently, so if it aint for you it aint for you, thats just music. April 21 01:53 PM
