Turkish death metallers Engulfed are scheduled to release their second full length album via Dark Descent Records on April 19th. The album, entitled Unearthly Litanies of Despair, is the band's first since 2017's Engulfed In Obscurity. A preview track named "In the Abyss of Death's Obscurity" is streaming on Youtube.
Toronto-based blackened death metal band Adversarial is streaming a new track from their forthcoming full-length album entitled Solitude With the Eternal..., which is scheduled for release on May 31st of this year via Dark Descent Records. It will be the band's first full length recording since 2015's Death, Endless Nothing and the Black Knife of Nihilism.

Death metal outfit Umbra Vitae have announced their return album Light of Death, due to be released on June 7th.
Comprised of vocalist Jacob Bannon (Converge), guitarists Sean Martin (Twitching Tongues, ex-Hatebreed) and Mike McKenzie (The Red Chord), bassist Greg Weeks (The Red Chord) and drummer Jon Rice (Uncle Acid, Tsjuder), the band released their debut album Shadow of Life in 2020.

After 15 years, Italian melodic death metal outfit Godless Crusade made their return with a fiery reunion show held on March 30.
The band's current lineup consists of their original members, with the exception of guitarist Ivan Stevanovich, who is no longer with the band. The addition of Giacomo "Jack" Poli, guitarist from Hiss from the Moat, has injected a fresh energy into the lineup, promising an invigorated approach to their music.

Metalcore pioneers Heartscarved's debut EP, "...And Tomorrow We Escape," originally released by Tribunal Records in 2001 on CD, has been remastered and reissued on vinyl by Force of Reckoning Records.

Australian soul band Hiatus Kaiyote have just released the 2nd single “Make Friends” for their upcoming 4th studio album. The album’s title has been revealed to be Love Heart Cheat Code and is set to release June 28th.
Hiatus Kaiyote said on their Bandcamp page that “A final unscripted addition to the album, “Make Friends” was inspired by words of wisdom imparted to the band by a friend who noted, “You don’t make friends, you recognize them.” Nai Palm was quoted saying: “I wanted to have representation for just the different examples of people that I love from the women in my life, to the men, to my non-binary friends, and it was very natural and fun to work on as a formula.”

Adrian Belew is joining forces with Tony Levin, Danny Carey, and Steve Vai to perform music from King Crimson's 1980s iteration. The band will be called Beat. So far, only one show has been announced, in San Diego on September 17 at Concerts By The Bay.
In a Facebook post, Robert Fripp wrote: "This is the project that Adrian Belew called me about last Autumn, a project which I support and fully encourage, and discussed with Steve Vai recently at McCabes in Santa Monica (3march2024). Even, I suggested the name."
