Seattle WA black metal outfit Veruta, has uploaded a new track at its official Bandcamp location.
The release of the song, titled "Beyond the Smoldering Sky", comes ahead of the independent release of the band's debut album Forked Tongue Of Fire, due out on November 3.

Norwegian black metallers Dimmu Borgir will be releasing a covers album, Inspiratio Profanus, on December 8th via Nuclear Blast Records. Listen to the band's rendition of Venom's 'Black Metal' below.

IDLES return with their 5th studio effort, TANGK. Due out on February 16, it will be an album that celebrates love and joy, contrasting their earlier work.
"I needed love. So I made it. I gave love out to the world and it feels like magic. This is our album of gratitude and power. All love songs. All is love."
Regarding the title, the band explained that it's "pronounced “tank” with a whiff of the “g” - an onomatopoeic reference to the lashing way the band imagined their guitars sounding that has since grown into a sigil for living in love".

German metal empress Dorothy Pesch has released a new song from her new album "Conqueress: Forever Strong and Proud", which is set to release on October 27th through Nuclear Blast Records.

Bridging a 10-year gap since their last full-length album, Norwegian progressive/experimental metallers Extol have released two new tracks with Solid State Records and Indie Recordings, mixed/mastered by Jens Bogren. The release of "Labyrinth of III" and "Exigency" marks a renewal of joint musical activity by original band members Peter and Christer Espevoll, David Husvik and Ole Børud, and possibly/hopefully heralds the advent of a new full-length album in the coming year.
Japanese singer/songwriter/idol manager/alternative pop icon Seiko Oomori has announced a new record THIS IS JAPANESE GIRL, to be released September 18th 2024. This day will be a Wednesday, and there are 339 days between now and then. Please enjoy the wait.
More immediately, she has released a new single in support of the album, titled "更衣室ディストピア", which is Japanese for "Kouishitsu Dystopia", which is Japanese for "Dressing Room Dystopia". The song fuels a grotesque presentation of the title subject with Oomori's trademark juxtaposition between diminutive and nauseating cuteness. The title lyric is delivered as a pun on "Kouisitsu" (dressing room), "koi shits" (love shits, which might be domesticated in translation along the lines of romantic shitstain).
It is probably the least inviting lead single she has released to date, so uh good luck?
Canadian progressive metal outfit, Spiritbox have dropped their latest single, entitled "Cellar Door". The song comes off of their upcoming EP, The Fear of Fear, which is scheduled to be released on November 3rd.

Judas Priest have released the first single, "Panic Attack", ahead of their upcoming 19th studio album, Invincible Shield. The album is due for release on 8 March 2024. The album is produced by Andy Sneap, co-producer of the band's previous album Firepower. The band has also announced a supporting world tour, with details to come in the following months.

The one and only Bring Me The Horizon have released a new single entitled "Darkside".
In this track the band once again leans into nu-metal territory, wearing their Linkin Park affection on their sleeve, much similar to their 2020 track "1x1".
Earthside have officially dropped their next single, called "Pattern of Rebirth". The song comes off of the band's upcoming album, Let The Truth Speak, which is expected to drop on November 17th.
The song features AJ Channer, the vocalist from nu metal group, Fire From The Gods. According to Earthside, Channer wrote all of the lyrics and melodies for the song.
Australian metal band Thornhill have released a new single Viper Room. This marks a continuation from their previous album Heroine, although there is no announcement of an upcoming third album just yet.
Former Every Time I Die frontman Keith Buckley announced he is joining a new band, Many Eyes. Charlie and Nick Bellmore (of toxic holocaust fame) will join Keith as guitarist and drummer respectively.

French progressive rock/post-hardcore Nord have recently debuted a new single from their upcoming third album. Titled "II. Truth Philters," the track was released alongside a new music video and exhibits the group's new direction, with their traditional progressive sound incorporating synth elements and darkwave influence.
The collective's next LP, titled The Implosion of Everything that Matters, is set to be unveiled on November 3rd this year.

Charles Bissell, co-frontman of The Wrens, has finally announced new music. It comes in the form of new project Car Colors. The first single "Old Death" has been released for preorder via the newly relaunched Absolutely Kosher Records. Set to include Charles' contributions to the mothballed Wrens album, the Car Colors album is slated for an early 2024 release.
