Metalcore/Hardcore band Foreign Hands have dropped a new single "Conditioned for a Head-On Collision" featuring vocalist Olli Appleyard from Static Dress. This is their first new song since their 2022 EP Lucid Noise, as of now there is no announcement of an album.
The Beatles have shared a previously unreleased song, 'Now and Then', taken from an old John Lennon demo and later finished by surviving members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. You can stream it below.

Now and Then's eventful journey to fruition took place over five decades and is the product of conversations and collaborations between the four Beatles that go on to this day. The long mythologised John Lennon demo was first worked on in February 1995 by Paul, George and Ringo as part of The Beatles Anthology project but it remained unfinished, partly because of the impossible technological challenges involved in working with the vocal John had recorded on tape in the 1970s. Norwegian folk collective Kalandra have shared a music video for their latest single 'Bardaginn'. You can watch it below.

'Bardaginn,' derives its name from Old Norse, meaning 'fight' or 'battle,' be it an internal struggle or a confrontation in the real world. The song explores the paradox of life's seeming meaninglessness, yet the inherent human inclination to fight for something, or someone, and how it's a complex and multifaceted aspect of our nature.
Everything Everything are back with their new single "Cold Reactor". The song gives us the first taste of their brand new album Mountainhead, out 1st March 2024 via BMG.
The track features eerie synth tones and driving new wave drums, making good on the promise of songs like "Kevin's Car" and "Jennifer" from their 2022 album Raw Data Feel.

Death metal giants Gorguts are set to begin writing material for their next album later this fall, per a recent interview with band leader and frontman Luc Lemay. Metal YouTuber RichardMetalFan conducted the interview.

Dream Theater announced today that Mike Portnoy rejoined the band on drums and will start working on their 16th studio album. He left in 2010, being replaced by Mike Mangini who was featured on their last 5 LPs.
Mangini commented on his departure: “I understand Dream Theater’s decision to get Mike Portnoy back at this time. Atsushi Sakurai, the skilled and charismatic vocalist behind one of Japan’s longest running rock bands, BUCK-TICK, has passed away on October 19th from a brain hemorrhage.
Started when the members were still in high school, BUCK-TICK are known to be one of the country’s most versatile and enduring rock bands, with 2023 having been the group’s 40th anniversary. One of the band’s biggest signatures were the rich vocals of Sakurai, with the ambiguous visual style of the band, particularly Sakurai, being extremely influential in the creation of visual kei, one of Japan’s most popular musical subgenres during the 90s.
One of the group’s most popular singles was “Dress”, originally released in 1993 and re-released in 2005, being featured in the popular anime series Trinity Blood, helping to garner BUCK-TICK a passionate international following. Romania-based Instrumental Progressive Metal band Doomsday Astronaut have released their second single "Groove Monkey" off their new album Djent Djinn.
The song delves into groovier and slower tempo riffs compared to the higher intensity first single "Born of Smokeless Fire" with a focus on melodic lead playing.
Released October 4th, Djent Djinn is available on Spotify and can also be purchased on Bandcamp.
Seattle WA black metal outfit Veruta, has uploaded a new track at its official Bandcamp location.

IDLES return with their 5th studio effort, TANGK. Due out on February 16, it will be an album that celebrates love and joy, contrasting their earlier work.

Regarding the title, the band explained that it's "pronounced “tank” with a whiff of the “g” - an onomatopoeic reference to the lashing way the band imagined their guitars sounding that has since grown into a sigil for living in love".
