Produced by longtime collaborator Josh Wilbur, "Sepsis" is a slow-burn slab of sludge-tinged heaviness, with Randy Blythe digging into guttural lows and the band leaning into tension over speed. Lyrically and contextually, it's a love letter to Lamb of God's roots and a tribute to the underground Richmond bands (Breadwinner, Sliang Laos, Ladyfinger) that shaped them in their basement days. This is the band's newest offering since 2022's Omens.
Wednesday, October 1st
Post-metal band Fog Warning have released a single and video ahead of their debut album Perils Below, set to drop October 3. The project revolves around maritime and horror themes, including lead single "Cachalot" that begins the story of a sailor's death at sea and his journey through hell.
The Swiss-American collaboration swirls between genres over its 48-minute run time, from crushing death-doom sequences to ominous seascapes featuring eerie interplay between the band's two vocalists. Watch the video for "Cachalot" here and pre-order the album through label Miracles From the Gutter.

Cult alt-rock/shoegaze quartet Hum have announced their first activity since their 2020 comeback album Inlet and death of drummer Bryan St Pere in 2021.
Though the band have stated they have no current plans beyond this run of dates at Slide Away Festival, which also boasts the return of Chapterhouse among its lineup, they have also announced that Jason Gerken, who was briefly a member at the beginning of their reunion in 2015, has returned to the fold behind the kit.

California deathcore outfit Spite released their second single, the title track of their upcoming album New World Killer, out October 31st.
Ends in Tragedy, an Australian band known for their old-school metalcore sound, have dropped their new single, "Beauty of Death". The 'revivalcore' track channels early 2000s metalcore with raw emotion, heavy riffs, beautiful ambient breaks, and crushing breakdowns.
Synth-pop duo Magdalena Bay have surprise-released two new singles: Second Sleep and Star Eyes.
There has been no announcement of a new album or EP, and Magdalena Bay is currently touring the US.

Australian's Thornhill have released a standalone single “Mercia" as they kick off their U.S. support run for Sleep Token’s Even in Arcadia tour.

After a 15-year hiatus, experimental mathcore outfit Duck Duck Goose have made their long-awaited return with a brand new EP titled Love Will Set You Free.
To accompany the surprise release, the band also dropped a music video for "Disco Pigs".
British post-hardcore ensemble As Everything Unfolds have unveiled a new single "POINT OF VIEW" following their previous song "SET IN FLOW". These are the band's first works under Century Media Records as well as without their late drummer Jamie Gowers. Louis Doran, a touring member, provided drums on the new tracks. No news about a potential new album for now.

In a recent social media post, At The Gates vocalist Tomas Lindberg has officially passed away. Back in March, Lindberg revealed that he was diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, an aggressive form of mouth cancer. Later in May, a "medical setback" forced Lindberg to be placed in long-term care.
The band was in the middle of recording their upcoming 8th studio album, though Lindberg's vocals were finished the day before his surgery. While the album is expected to drop eventually, the future of the band's fate is now uncertain.
Lindberg was only 52 years old. Rest in Peace.

The full album, "Boy Meets Music", will be released on on streaming services on October 31st, 2025. Despite having been a band for over 20 years, bacho rarely releases full albums and Boy Meets Music will be their second LP. It is an exciting moment!
German post-hardcore trio Future Palace dropped a new single titled "Cyclone". This marks the band's first release under Century Media Records as well as since their crushing 2024 album Distortion. Additionally, this month they're embarking on their first North American tour supported by Hawk and Half Me. There's no information about a possible new album.
