Rap Rock artist Machine Gun Kelly has released a new track titled "your name forever" as a tribute to his friend Luke Trembath; also known as "The Dingo", he was a beloved snowboarding personality who passed away at 38 years old.
The song features Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold on lead guitar along with backing vocals from Matt Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold, Oliver Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon, and Mod Sun who were all friends with Trembath as well. RIP Dingo.
Katatonia have announced the departure of guitarist and founding member Anders Nyström. The band made the announcement over social media through a post written by Jonas Renske on March 17. This was followed by a statement by Anders the next day. The band appear to cite creative differences as the reason for the split.

Planning For Burial, the Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania shoegaze / post-metal project of Thom Wasluck, has announced a new album a long stretch of North American tour dates. The album, titled It’s Closeness, It’s Easy, will be the project's first in eight years and will be released on May 30 via The Flenser. Kazdoura, a Toronto-based duo comprising of singer Leen Hamo from Syria and multi-instrumentalist Johnny Abou Chacra from Lebanon has released their debut album titled Ghoyoum.
They describe their music as a cross-cultural blend of Eastern and Western music, mixing old-world Arabic classics with jazz, funk, electro-pop, and disco.

Symphonic deathcore band Disembodied Tyrant, from the United States of America, unleashed "8.6 BLACKOUT", their first single since signing with Nuclear Blast Records. The release is accompanied by a politically charged music video.
The track’s title references the 8.6 Blackout, a newly developed supersonic rifle round.

Finnish death metal outfit Morbific, has uploaded a new song at its official Bandcamp location.

Whitechapel, recently less emotional and more evil, have dropped a video for their track "Hate Cult Ritual" off of their newly released album Hymns in Dissonance.
The album was released March 7th through Metal Blade Records and is their first self-produced album.
The Essex band These New Puritans has announced a new record, called 'Crooked Wing', scheduled to come out 23rd May 2025.
They shared two songs, one of which features Caroline Polachek. They seem to be straying further away from post punk in order to fully embrace the neo-classical tendencies that characterized their last two releases.
American Christian metalcore group, Wolves at the Gate, have officially announced their newest album, entitled Wasteland. It is the band's first new record since 2022's Eulogies, and is currently scheduled to be released on May 30th.
Along with the announcement, the band released the lead single, along with a short film video, called "Parasite" in promotion for the album.

Doom/heavy metal band Pagan Altar are set to release their new album Never Quite Dead on April 25th. This will be the first Pagan Altar album without singer Terry Jones, who passed away in 2015. On vocals is Brendan Radigan from bands such as Magic Circle, Mind Eraser, and his solo black metal project Torture Chain.

Mastodon announced today the departure of lead guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds, who was a member of the group since its inception in 2000. Hinds played on all eight studio albums up to 2021's Hushed and Grim.
This is the message the band posted on their social media pages:
"Friends and Fans, After 25 monumental years together, Mastodon and Brent Hinds have mutually decided to part ways. We’re deeply proud of and beyond grateful for the music and history we’ve shared and we wish him nothing but success and happiness in his future endeavors. We are still very inspired and excited to show up for fans in this next chapter of Mastodon. As we move forward, all 2025 touring plans will remain intact. We look forward to seeing you on the road."

Oklahoma alt rockers Downward have released their second self-titled LP through New Morality Zine. Engineered by Kendal Osborne and the band themselves, "Downward" was mixed and mastered by Corey Coffman. The new album includes two previously released tracks, "Line" and "The Waltz."
Downward's breakthrough EP "The Brass Tax" was released in 2022 and was followed by a split with Trauma Ray in 2023. The band is currently on tour with Movements, Citizen, and Scowl.

Swedish rock group Ghost have released a new single, titled 'Satanized'.
The debut of the track is also coupled with the highly anticipated announcement of the band's next studio effort, Skeletá - due to be released worldwide on April 25th.
Alongside this, the band have unveiled their newly appointed frontman 'Papa V Perpetua', the latest of group leader Tobias Forge's musical identities.
АНТАЙТЛД (UNTITLED in Ukrainian) is a new project by Eugene Tymchyk, a relatively-known Ukrainian musician and frontman of bands such as Septa, The Nietzsche, and Nekura. The band’s music stands out for its intensity, it is uncompromising metalcore, backed by bitterly ironic lyrics that address contemporary issues.
The third single, titled “потужна” (powerful in Ukrainian), truly lives up to its name. The band’s signature meta-ironic humor and postmodern lyrics now directly reflect on the theme of totalitarianism and its impact on society.
Canadian gothic synth rockers The Birthday Massacre have released a single for their upcoming tenth album, Pathways (due to be released on April 11th). The song, titled “Sleep Tonight”, is their first release since 2021’s Fascination, and features a return of heavier guitar that was absent from their last album. Pathways will also be their shortest album to date, featuring only 8 songs.
