Marilyn Manson has just dropped a cover of Phil Collins' multi-platinum classic, "In the Air Tonight". The track is part of a new Maxi Single CD release, containing "As Sick As the Secrets of (Sleep)" as the B-side, which reinterprets "As Sick As the Secrets Within".

UK-based alt rock band Tummyache are embarking on the US leg of their 'Edge of Everywhere' Tour. Led by Soren Bryce, the band released their most recent LP "Egosystem" and a B-sides collection "The Theory of Relatability" in 2024. Nashville emo/shoegaze band Khamsin will be supporting on select dates.
The band will be touring with a documentary team to highlight the US independent music world, to explore "the people, venues, and spaces that sustain DIY music in America."

Countrygaze vets Greet Death have finally announced a follow-up to their 2019 modern classic New Hell titled "Die In Love". This comes after the band dropped the single Same But Different Now last fall and have released a new song for the album titled "Country Girl". According to female vocalist and guitarist Harper Boyhtari, the song is about “…identity, alienation, and detachment. It’s like trying to solve a murder mystery and finding out you were the killer the whole time.”
Die In Love comes out June 26th through Deathwish Inc.

Ryoji Shinomoto, mastermind behind Japanese melodic death metal band RYUJIN (formerly known as GYZE), has released a tribute album titled Children of Bushido, dedicated to the late Children of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho. The album reimagines Children of Bodom’s classics through a distinct “Samurai Metal” lens, fusing traditional Japanese instruments with melodic death metal in a way that honors both legacy and cultural roots.
Shinomoto shared the emotional and creative motivations behind the project:

US alt metal outfit Drowning Pool have returned with a new single, titled 'MADNESS'.
The debut of the track follows the prior release of single, 'Revolution (The Final Amen)', which saw the return of SOiL frontman, Ryan McCombs. Having featured on previous Drowning Pool albums, McCombs once again took over vocal duties following the 2023 departure of previous lead vocalist, Jasen Moreno - who left the band following Drowning Pool's seventh studio effort, Strike a Nerve.
At this time, the band have yet to announce any further details in regard to an expected album being released later this year.
Swedish rock outfit, Ghost, have released a second promotional single in anticipation for their upcoming sixth studio effort, titled 'Lachryma'.
The debut of the track follows previous single, 'Satanized', with the band's newest album Skeletá due to be released worldwide on April 25th, 2025.
Alongside this, the band have recently updated their frontman design, 'Papa V Perpetua' - the latest of group leader Tobias Forge's musical identities.
Sybreed is now streaming a newly-recorded cover of Tears For Fears' "Shout", which they recorded back in 2022.
The cover is featured on the reissue of The Pulse of Awakening, who will be out May 30th via Listenable Records. Theirs other albums Antares and God Is An Automaton will are also reissues on the same date. Each album comes packed with bonus tracks and previously unreleased Sybreed material.
Legendary ska-punk collective Streetlight Manifesto have announced their first full length album in 12 years following 2013's The Hands That Thieve. The record, entitled The Place Behind the Stars, will be released via Pentimento Music on June 24th.

Big Pants Music aficionados, Orthodox have released yet another track to their upcoming LP A Door Left Open titled "Sacred Place". If you've seen Orthodox at all within the past year, you'll recognize this as the bombastic opening song to their set formally known as "Chameleon". Pre-orders are available through the band's site.
Baltimore rock band, Turnstile have released the title track to their upcoming album, NEVER ENOUGH, scheduled to release June 6th on Roadrunner Records. This is the band's first record since 2021's infamous GLOW ON. The 14 track album will also accompany the band's European festival run, including appearances at Outbreak, Jera on Air, Hellfest among many others. No tracklist has been revealed yet but presave options are available on all streaming platforms.

Rumors circulated earlier this year that Death Grips had disbanded after a tumultuous reunion tour several years ago, but the band have taken to instagram to clear the air with a message:
“Despite rumor and hearsay, we remain active as Death Grips.

It appears that Andy Morin AKA Flatlander is no longer attached to the project. It is unclear to what capacity that "remain active" means, although very brief snippets of what appeared to be new music have accompanied the band's cryptic messages and posts since 2018's Year of the Snitch.
American industrial group Nine Inch Nails will be producing and composing the music for the upcoming film, Tron: Ares, which stars Jared Leto as the main character. The film is scheduled to be released on October 10th.
Trent Reznor explained why they decided to compose the film as NIN, stating: "It is as Nine Inch Nails, and I think it's influenced the way we approach scoring. It's going to be a little grittier, and it's just different; it's still the same two people, but we're in a different mindset. We feel like we can play by different rules a bit, and the people working on the film were excited about that, so we thought we'd try it."
