Lithuanian post-metal band AORTES is set to release their highly anticipated new album, Carrion, on April 20th. This release marks a significant evolution in the band’s sound, blending haunting ambient passages with crushing doom-laden riffs and fierce blackened hardcore insanity.
To coincide with the announcement, AORTES is premiering their latest single, "When We Cease", a powerful and evocative track that captures the album’s essence—brooding, intense, and unrelenting. Miley Cyrus has released the music video for lead single "Something Beautiful", for her upcoming studio album of the same name, set to be released on May 30th, 2025. The song shows Cyrus pivoting to a mixture of art rock, psychedelic, soul and progressive pop influences.

The track follows the recent release of prior single, 'Parasite', in anticipation for the band's upcoming sixth record, Wasteland - due for release on May 30th.

American gothic rockers Evanescence have released a new single - titled 'Afterlife'.
The track debuts as the latest in a trend of classic 2000s-era rock acts being featured on the Netflix Devil May Cry animated series, with Limp Bizkit's 'Rollin'' having recently been announced as the opening theme and Papa Roach's 'Last Resort' seeing usage in the series' official trailer.

San Antonio, Texas alt rockers Nothing More have released a new single featuring Chris Daughtry - titled 'Freefall'.

Newly returned California rock act, Linkin Park, have released a new single, titled ‘Up From The Bottom.’
The debut of the track swiftly follows the November 2024 release of their comeback album, From Zero, the bands first studio effort in seven years - and is set to feature on an upcoming deluxe edition of the same record, due for release on May 16th.

Chevelle return this year with a brand new album, whose first single "Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)" is out now. No further information was revealed so far regarding the LP itself. Following on from their most recent singles, 'Dark Side' & 'Wasteful', American rock group Hundredth have released another new track in anticipation for their upcoming sixth album - titled 'All The Way'.
Continuing the band's next shift in aesthetic direction, 'All The Way' again sees Hundredth discarding the shoegaze sound of 2017s RARE or dreampop aesthetics of 2020s Somewhere Nowhere, in favour of pursuing a more indie rock-driven sound.

Blindside have released a new single after almost 14 years of silence. No word yet on if a new album is forthcoming. The previous single Blindside released in 2019, Gravedigger, was a brief glimmer of hope that appeared to fade away. Now, after a powerful and heartfelt appearance at Furnace Fest in 2024, Blindside appear to be active again.

Takaat (pronounced "tuh-cot") is a new band made up of Ahmoudou Madassane, Mikey Coltun, and Souleymane Ibrahim (the rhythm section of Nigerian experimental rock act Mdou Moctar). Polish metalcore outfit Pray for Plagues unveiled a new song "Forget to Live" along with a music video. The single marks a stylistic change for the band, dropping most of harsh vocals in favor of singing and being significantly less heavy than their recent EP "My Hands Are Tied". While it is confirmed that the band is working on a new album, "Forget to Live" serves as a standalone single.
Dutch alternative/gothic/symphonic metal band, Blackbriar, have released the second single from their upcoming album A Thousand Little Deaths which is due out later this summer.
The song is titled "I Buried Us" and is the second track to be released following "Floriography" which was released November 20th, 2024.

Rap Rock artist Machine Gun Kelly has released a new track titled "your name forever" as a tribute to his friend Luke Trembath; also known as "The Dingo", he was a beloved snowboarding personality who passed away at 38 years old.
The song features Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold on lead guitar along with backing vocals from Matt Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold, Oliver Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon, and Mod Sun who were all friends with Trembath as well. RIP Dingo.
Katatonia have announced the departure of guitarist and founding member Anders Nyström. The band made the announcement over social media through a post written by Jonas Renske on March 17. This was followed by a statement by Anders the next day. The band appear to cite creative differences as the reason for the split.

Kazdoura, a Toronto-based duo comprising of singer Leen Hamo from Syria and multi-instrumentalist Johnny Abou Chacra from Lebanon has released their debut album titled Ghoyoum.
They describe their music as a cross-cultural blend of Eastern and Western music, mixing old-world Arabic classics with jazz, funk, electro-pop, and disco.

Symphonic deathcore band Disembodied Tyrant, from the United States of America, unleashed "8.6 BLACKOUT", their first single since signing with Nuclear Blast Records. The release is accompanied by a politically charged music video.
The track’s title references the 8.6 Blackout, a newly developed supersonic rifle round.
