| Bought Some Old Post-rock
Apparently these are like some of the roots post-rock albums. | 1 | | Slint Spiderland
Duh. I have really enjoyed this so far. Sounds a lot like enablers though.... maybe
better. | 2 | | Talk Talk Laughing Stock
This will take a bit longer to get into, but I know I will eventually. | 3 | | Bark Psychosis Hex
Barely given this a listen yet. | 4 | | Disco Inferno D.I. Go Pop
Not quite sure how this is post-rock, but it sure is good. | |

12.25.12 | it's weird how practically none of this sounds like the post-rock of today (besides enablers).... any recs of bands that sound like the ones above would be welcome. | WeepingBanana
12.25.12 | old post rock is so far superior to new post rock it's not even funny | solongatlast
12.25.12 | Honestly they're pretty much different genres. Even Godspeed sounds absolutely nothing like Talk Talk. A lot of post-rock today should just be called instrumental ambient rock or something...
You should check enablers though. They sound a ton like Slint, but way more poetic spoken word and more jazzy music. | eternium
12.25.12 | Tortoise and Rodan. Also get the other Bark Psychosis album. It's almost as good as Hex. | WeepingBanana
12.25.12 | rodan rule
