| Evergrey Ranked
bored | 8 | | Evergrey Monday Morning Apocalypse
2.5/5 - Weakest effort. The music comes across as uninspired upon first listen and repeated listens do little to fix it. The production sucks, too. The title track and bonus track are pretty killer though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp7eqmyf7uA | 7 | | Evergrey The Inner Circle
3/5 - This is a good and enjoyable release overall. I don't really have anything else to say about this one. Bonus points for having More Than Ever and Essence of Conviction: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-9kAXTpmRg | 6 | | Evergrey Glorious Collision
3.5/5 - Not going to lie, this is far better than I expected it would be after they lost over half their members. Enjoyable and fairly accessible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PM191LAaME4 | 5 | | Evergrey Torn
3.5-4/5 - Quite a powerful record. Tom's voice and lyrics are some of the best found on any Evergrey record: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gY6m7mWmAwY | 4 | | Evergrey The Dark Discovery
4/5 - This is the very definition of a solid debut. Here they set an image for themselves, went with it, and it worked wonderfully: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ianw-9WWu4I | 3 | | Evergrey Solitude Dominance Tragedy
4-4.5/5 - Absolutely love the production and the music here. Not as many memorable moments as their best two but still plenty and the music has excellent structure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0Fn1GDx4c8 | 2 | | Evergrey In Search of Truth
4.5-5/5 - Very melodic, dark, creepy, and addictive. Some days I favor this over Recreation Day. New listeners should start here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GV-AlCEcOT4 | 1 | | Evergrey Recreation Day
4.5-5/5 - Easily has the bands strongest music, has incredible flow, and the most memorable moments: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7XoMDEfn80 | |

01.17.14 | Provided song links for your bitch asses | TheCrocodile
01.17.14 | Really cool band. Only own/listened to 1 and 7 which I think are both equal so I can't say I agree with the ratings but props for doing a list about them. Will try to get 2 and 3 according to this. | CK
01.17.14 | Yeah me disliking 7 is a fairly unpopular decision, so don't jump to any conclusions from this list. Check the youtube links for 2 and 3 | mursu
01.17.14 | I've only heard 1 and 5, but they are really good. | CK
01.17.14 | Gotta check 2 and 3 then dude | TheCrocodile
01.17.14 | Really dug those two links, will try to acquire both of them in the near future. | Thibs
01.17.14 | agree with 1 and 2...need to listen to 3 4...i liked inner circle but it didn't have the replay value of others | KjSwantko
05.04.14 | I think 2 and 3 are definitely their top two records, but I can always see why someone would argue for Recreation Day. The production of that record is absolutely killer. In particular the grandiose atmosphere in the verse of "Fragments" sticks in my memory.
Cheers man, new record coming very soon too! |
