It's a Jungle in Here

Another fantastic release, I love these guys.
9Death
Individual Thought Patterns

DiGiorgio and Hoglan might form the best rhythm section ever assembled in metal. The progressive roots really started to show on this album.
8Morphine
Cure for Pain

Underrated band, really jazzy. I wish I had known about these guys earlier.
7Black Moon
Enta da Stage

Another fantastic work of east coast hardcore hip-hop, this one reminds me a lot of 36 chambers, but isn't as good.
6Burzum
Det som Engang Var

Despite my disdain for most Black Metal, I still really like this album. Nostalgia I guess. Surprising considering I hate the prick that makes the music.
5A Tribe Called Quest
Midnight Marauders

More jazz rap, this one is a classic.
4Gang Starr
Daily Operation

Maybe my favourite Gang Starr album, I so many wicked songs. Soliloquy of Chaos rules.
3Alice in Chains
Jar of Flies

I know it's an EP, but this is great. Rotten Apple is such an amazing song.
2 Digable Planets
Reachin' (A New Refutation of Time and Space)

Smooth, smooth, smooth, one of the pinnacles of jazz rap. So cool.
1Wu-Tang Clan
Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)

My favourite rap album of all time, probably the best hardcore hip-hop album of all time, everyone on this album absolutely rips. Maybe the only weak spot is the fact that Master Killa only got one verse.
