Heroes

This is another one of those albums I've always thought 'I should like this more'. I think it's because pairing it against some of his other work maybe diminishes it some. Either way, this is fantastic.
5Allan Holdsworth
Velvet Darkness

Not a fan of shred, but then again this isn't really straight up shred either. Holdsworth is an amazing player.
4Kansas
Point of Know Return

Might be my favourite Kansas album. Or maybe it's Leftoverture, I think the two bounce back and forth. Either way, very strong album.
3Weather Report
Heavy Weather

Fusion at it's best, this is the only other Weather Report album I have. Pastorius stands out, but everyone on this album is unbelievable.
2Rush
A Farewell to Kings

Rush's best album features their biggest hit 'Closer to the Heart', but this song is overshadowed by such gems as the title track, 'Xanadu', and 'Cinderella Man'.
1Pink Floyd
Animals

Hands down Pink Floyd's best album, and possibly the best prog album ever released. Dogs is in my top 5 favourite songs of all time. The climax of that song is incredible. I'm not even a big fan of Sheep, but Dogs and Pigs are mindblowing.
